It's an iffy organisation promoting oil exploration in Africa, I'd wager it won't be renewed ( or even completed ) however that doesn't mean that we're not under performing in that area, as we definitely are

Dunno if they're iffy, it's a massive oil company backing it. The money is literally like spare change to them.

But as you said it begs the question why we can't sniff out a better deal for ourselves. Villa getting almost twice as much as we are is scandalous.

Sorry if this has been posted already...interesting though.

Serious question.

Should BK put ticket prices up by say 15% ? Season tickets up by the same amount ?

From a club and business point of view yes, but attendances would just drop immediately even further, leaving us in the same position but with smaller footfall at goodison (not that it matters as we make next to no money from catering or shirts sales but still). We don't even sell out so can't justify it.

That best owners graphic says it all- our lot think Chelsea have the worst owner, alongside Blackburn. We don't want a rich oil baron nor obviously a venkys so really what we have now must be exactly what they want. .

Made me laugh that just 0.8% of the around 4% who voted for kenwright were our own fans though. Media spin doing its job on others!

When it was pointed out to them, it stopped a certain member of the club staff linking it onto his twitter!

Haha was it tyrrell by any chance? That completely shows the agenda, he should've left it up to keep any credibility as its not that big a deal. It's like a dictatorship- nothing bad, however small, can be said about our great leader and he's got his minions on the case

Anyone got a link to Elstones previous comments than 75% of turnover on wages is a bad thing?

This one?

The relationship between wages and turnover (the wages: turnover ratio) is a key barometer of the financial health of any football club, as Deloitte continue to comment upon in the Deloitte Annual Review of Football Finance (Appendix 7 for the May 2008 edition). Deloitte comment that the management of a football club with a wages: turnover ratio of 50% or less is performing excellently. The dividing line between comfort and concern is around 70%. A ratio significantly over 70% may be a matter for concern depending on a club’s circumstances.

If so its from the CLUBS EVIDENCE given to the Kirkby Inquiry at point 3.8 here http://inquiry.knowsley.gov.uk/Proof of Evidence/TEV_P8.pdf

Maybe next year when Elstone is doing his 'interview' (pre-scripted, written answers and responses from the clubs PR team) with their favourite website blue kipper with its fake responses to news articles, if this point will be raised.

The ideal time to raise such a concern would be an AGM, but as we all know, AGM's are the scum of the earth and must be banned.

Dont know if it has been discussed/reported but watch out for Sun Tan Bob quietly placing a mate of his from his Deloitte/rugby days into a senior recently 'vacated' position at the club.
