I dont think its that simplistic mate, i think that what a lot of Villa fans a beleived and hoped for, away from that hes set up a complex buisness arrangement to line his pockets and heap debt on the club, for a club he paid next to nothing for with no debt, its a goose that has laid a golden egg for him, tbh i smell a big time rat with Lerner. Rather then the have a go hero you suggest for the reasons i have repeatedly stated. Hes run the club into the ground and still continues to take 15% of revenue - that inexcusable and doesnt really suggest the have a go hero picture some are painting here. I know for a fact he was furious he had to put 25mill into the club to stop it going under, hence his reluctance to do anything for the last couple of seasons.

Never called him a hero. I said he gambled. Didn't pay off.

But as pointed out earlier, how would you feel if the same happened to us but instead us in the champions league?

We all want good owners and we want loads of cash but the risks of screwing up and selling to a shower of sh!te cannot be underestimated.

Think we all appreciate that as Evertonians - we can't let the next sale be to another shower of ****e again. But the current shower of ****e will definitely sell to the highest bidders so we've likely got problems with that.

I was done year ago with these clowns, this is just heart breaking.

The lack of ambition at this club is worrying, what's the point, really what is te point? We get a good squad (not for the first time) and they show no ambition.

This is probably up there with their biggest shows that we need change.

no point mate Bill could be caught up in the Jimmy Saville scandal and still be clap clap clapped.

I was the same, never renewed me season ticket this year. play golf most Saturdays now, feel better for it. I wont return to Goodison while Bill is at the helm.

Thanks Bill, you just sent Moyes packing in the summer along with our best players.

CLAP, CLAP, CALP

NOW GET OUT OF OUR CLUB YOU LEECH.

With that time out when GOT crashed it allowed a bit of space to look at how this deadline day has gone down amongst Evertonians across the net. It's what I feared for the most part: a lot of people all too willing to see things from the board's perspective.

Confirmation, if any were needed, that this board of directors and their backers outside it have won the expectation PR war.

It's absolutely criminal. They've taken everything away from this club.

There's anger yeah, but if you go on the likes of Toffeeweb, NSNO and the now pathetic bluekipper forum, you can see how corrosive the board's constant chipping away has been in terms of knocking down our traditions and building up some new way of measuring "success" based on breaking even financially and securing top half of the table finishes...and their ideology is parroted for them by thousands on forums like this.

DaveK, there was no respect shown to the man that saved his arse...the best chance we have of getting to 4th and they failed off the pitch. The fans will never see it as failure not if it was printed on the next bottle of beer they open. I don.t care two hoots for the fans tonight my thoughts are with a man who has been shafted from within.

So The board will be back in the real transfer game Once felliani is sold then , as said we just didnt have the money just chancing, rolling dice and Hustling, waisting everybodys time , if moyes goes he will quietly he wont embarrass them
