However much it hurts to say it we've got a crap old stadium, we're the second team in a piss poor city and haven't won a title for 25+ years.

We are where we are with these charlatans on the board in an era of unprecedented money in the game, an era where this board doesnt even try to grow the business and in an era of not being successful.

Each of those on the board should have every Evertonians size 10s aimed at their hoop and kicked out of the city.

Apparently, keyword here, apparently, Kenwright has given Moyes an ultimatum. Laughable if true, he's really in no position to do that.

He's the chairman of EFC. He's in a position to do whatever he wants. Moyes is nowhere near as big as EFC and if Bill feels like this situation is damaging the club and sought to bring it to a head he'd go up in my estimation.

Why are Kenwright's supporters so aggressive and obnoxious in defending the man ? It's driving those fans willing to ignore the long list of damaging critical failures in managing the club straight into the arms of the likes of the Blue Union.

As an even handed moderate observer of the situation, who doesn't mind being lied to by the board, this defensiveness has me worried.

This uis sarcasm,right?

a crap old stadium.....how ****ing dare you ,and a piss poor city.

ffs ,
great city and a great great old stadium ,

You clearly missed the bit before that where I said "however much it hurts to say it".

I love Goodison more than anything but if you stand back you can see its massive limitations and problems to an outside investors. And exactly the same for the city.

Our big chance is if we can enjoy a bit of genuine success whilst the sh!te sink with Potato Head for a few years. Then we might have a prospect of getting a foreign investor.

What you and most of the other anti-Kenwright mob seem to think is that if someones not out manning the barricades protesting against evil Bill then we're the enemy. You couldn't be further from the truth.

Show me one hint of a serious buyer on the sidelines and you've got me. Likewise never mind all this "that's Bill's slush fund" etc. Show clear evidence of any wrongdoing and the image of the 'Boy's Pen hero' will be gone in a second.

At the right price, I believe everton, would be a very viable option to any investor. This, I surmise being the real problem.

I disagree, in what way would a club that's losing money and will continue to do so be a sound investment?
Especially when even if free you still have 150mil+ for a new stadium and at least 100mil on players if you want to be competitive, add wages and you'll be lucky to break even... 250mil at break even's going to take a while to turn a profit on..
Then factor in the debt, the poor fan base, the competition.
Its a terrible business opportunity for someone with no sense and a lot of money.. Hard to find stupid rich people but if anyone knows Paris Hilton....

Obviously you can see why an investor who's looking to make money quickly would not look at us. With a buyout clearing the clubs debts, we would be making a profit currently even at GP although that would be a small one. Any player investment would soon suck that up tho.

In reality a new stadium would have to be built. Players would have to be bought. So that really rules out your profit making business men with moderate funds. Apart from the glamour of owning a football club, there not getting much for there buck!

However I see NO reason why the super rich (quatari's, arabs, ect ) would not invest in us. We'd be a cheap initial purchase compared to others. Yes we'd need to build a stadium but so what? They have the cash... Most these super rich are doing it for global brand awearness ( etihad) and would get that from naming ect of new stadium. We're still the 4th most successfull English team and fanbase wise... Come on imagine us successfull, like city we would have fans coming out the woodwork, as well as a whole new generation from in and around Liverpool.

Finally with the FFP coming in pretty sure it's gonna be impossible to buy a team as weak as say city were having to spend 100's and 100's of millions to get them competitive. We're close already!!

Maybe were not an option for your randy lerner type owners but rich sheiks and the likes I don't see why not!

Poor fan base.... Some people on here really have a dour perception of our fan base.
Just seems like a lot of excuses to me as to why, nothing is happening at goodison, really.

That's not half as big a problem as the fact that no "investors" exist.

Show me one hint of a serious buyer on the sidelines and you've got me. Likewise never mind all this "that's Bill's slush fund" etc. Show clear evidence of any wrongdoing and the image of the 'Boy's Pen hero' will be gone in a second.
Some people get carried away with things but frankly the incompetence is enough for me ... doesn't need to be corrupt.

Exactly. The RIGHT price.

£150million for Everton FC is not the right price.

I suggest no investors being out there is linked to the fundamentals of the club.

I also think that the board have made mistakes which is why I'd welcome any new investment with open arms. In the absence of any brave knights on the horizon though I think fans need to take a constructive approach.

Cool. Have you got a signed copy of the sales particulars where that price was quoted? Have you any direct evidence at all as to what the actual price is? It's just that you're quoting it with such certainty you must have something concrete to be going on.

I wouldn't call it 'concrete', but Harris tells the reporter that £150-160m isn't far off.
