I guarantee Leeds get bought by a BIG investor/consortium it always happens the second time look at City aftershinawatra and QPR after Bernie Ecclestone these people have connections.

No it doesn't, ask Pompey & Notts County fans if they share that opinion.

Notts County were bought just the once by if my mind serves me a fella posing as an arab company called Munto finance or something like that, Pompey were just a mess who after Gaydamark had them in mass debt the other fella took over and realised the mess and done one.

I admit I went too far saying it "always" happens but these groups and billionaires have inner circles shinwatra knew Shiekh Mansours family from his time in office and Ecclestone knew the Mittal family who own a stake in QPR with then Fernandes coming along and buying the rest. Shame Kenwright only knows the cannonball kid.

County have been sold since. Pompey have had more owners than I can remember, since their cup win in '08.

I take the point about 'contacts' but there's no guarantee that the 'contacts' will have any more credibility (or money) than the sellers. The Leeds example is a great one, as way back in December (lol) they arrived with a fanfare, claiming that their intention was to " put an amazing club back where it belongs", when what they really meant, was "sell it off for a quick buck".

So in other words, this club is fvcked either way. We either stay with the owners with alligator arms we have now or shady bastards in the future. One and the same, really. Sad times.

Another white knight cocks up a football club. Apart from City (jury still out)& Chelsea I cant' think of a successful "billionare" takeover. I know United are doing ok but £700m in debt or something like that.

Well lets just stay as we are then.
Even David moyes has had enough of it, he knows as it is, we will never challenge.
There will always be bad takeovers, even ones that had genuine good intentions. That does not mean, everton fans should be content with, "what we've got."
People have looked in to the business model endlessly, for me, I take the opinion that the board have not marketed everton adequately. They have not realised the clubs potential and after thirteen years, I think they have had enough time.

It's quite likely that the Middle Eastern group that had the club's propsectus, were so excited by the sales pitch overseen by the person most qualified to sell Everton that they asked the club to negotiate on price. Once they realised how reasonable the asking price was, that the deal was concluded there and then. That we are currently in the effective ownership of money no object billionaires, the announcements awaiting a few technicalities. Bill Kenwright has once again saved the club from extinction.

It,s like the heady days of the FSF all over again.

Something today that really gets on my nerves when it comes to Everton.

Saurez has said something yesterday or whenever and the press are like "oooo hes going if a CL team come in" and straight away I am watching Look Northwest and someone from LFC are on the news explaining about the situation, I mean seriously, do Everton even have anyone who does that job? Felli, Baines, Jags etc are always being linked and I can never remember a time when the club did this? Straight out and defended the club/players.

Wish they did.

That could take a bit longer now as Bill is dealing with more pressing matters: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/live...t-starring-in-blood-brothers-100252-33030881/
