He's mad. Bill's been trying for 15 years now and he cant get a buyer. There's no one buying clubs. If they were, we'd have been sold years ago. Villa wont be sold. Rest assured.

Investment is the only way, not a sale. You just have to be patient and wait for someone to hand over £100M.

If they get sold it will because the Midlands is the new London or they are half way to London on the motorway.

I wonder if we can send a mirror into space and reflect the London lights onto goodison park thereby attracting new investors errr sorry buyers.

It'll be argued that the HS2 train link to Birmingham effectively makes it much easier for billionaires to travel from Mayfair and Kensington to Villa Park.

Damn our luck with these things. If only we had that link.

The RS went for £300m....a knock down administrators price.
And they were speculated a year ago as being up for sale again with FSG looking for £350M.

They'd be able to ask more now with the run they had this season, but to get substantially more they'll need the ground sorted out.

Yeah, I am asking £1 million for my detached house in northeast Liverpool, do you think I will wait long for a buyer?

You'll wait extremely long for a buyer, but you have the right to act like a tit in asking such a ludicrous price. Just as Bill does. In fact, many fans would like to see him stagnate the club for another 10 years if that's what it takes for him to become rich.

Seems like not so long ago we were welcoming him as a new owner, well he bought it with no debt, racked up a good 150 mill +, took a decent bit interest out of the club and left it hovering over the relegation zone!

If only we had an owner like Learner - but at least he had a go!

Thing is with Villa it doesn't sound like they are getting Man City money. They are being sold because Randy doesn't want it, so what, rather the yank buys Villa than us unless he is going to go out and buy the title, which i cant see happening to them.
I would rather stick with Bill than sell to anyone for the sake of it, for me its either Man City type investors or were happy with Bill, because some of the clowns buying clubs these days aren't worth the risk. We might plod along with Bill but better that then end up with a bell like clubs like Newcastle and Cardiff have....etc
Moyes was holding us back for a few years, the progress made over the last 12 months shows us that. Lets see were we are 12 months from now because if the progress is even at a slightly lesser rate in Roberto's second season we should easily be in the CL and with a chance of a pot.

Are you suggesting that Henry is as much a carpetbagger as the two earlier Yanks at the RS?. And that you'd rather have Bill than either of them?;)
By the way Dave, any chance of a reply to my pm,dated March 1st. requesting details of your evidence of a cockup in the Kitbag deal? I appreciate it can take a while to collate all your evidence, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.....cheers.
