If Bill was a Billionaire would you all be happy? I'm not for or against Bill but I would like the club to be sold to a Billionaire so we can push on but you can't argue that he changed us from almost certain to be relagated to almost a CL team.

hahaha are you a kopite on a wind up? David Moyes did that mate all Kenwright has done is hinder us

I think the majority of people certainly would argue that point.

No I'm not a kopite, Moyes can't take all the credit.
Alright Villa have been sold in a day but that doesn't mean anything. We all wanna be City and Chelsea but there very lucky just look at Portsmouth, Birmingham, Fulham, Cardiff, notts county and QPR, all been sold and gone down hill

Trouble is mate the "miracle, punching above weight, knife to a gunfight, net spend" acclaim he and Moyes bathed in for a decade has finally been exposed for what it really was - a dumbing down exercise.

The contrast of clever ambition despite modest means versus dull fear amidst the riches of Croesus comparing Martinez and Moyes has shown what might have been. A half savvy new owner would surely have done a Utd and give Moyes a season with a few shilling to prove himself then showed him the door.

The problem is Martinez being the genuine article will attract the elite of Europe. Eventually he'll say "you're a good laugh Bill but this club deserves the best and I WANT the best ..... but you can't provide it, adios".

We're all blues but in this day and age you need to be more than a supporter to succeed. Bill needs to sell now.

But, who is there to buy ?
Randy Lerner is available, maybe he would buy us, after all he couldn't be worse than Bill Kenwright.
There is a queue of American billionaires queuing outside Goodison as we speak, but Bill has drawn the curtains
and is pretending there is nobody at home.

Everton will not be sold until the ground issue is resolved. That is clear.

Just putting this out there.

I'd be happy to be taken over by anybody, billions or otherwise, that negotiated kit deals, sponsorships and commercial partnerships in line with our peer group.

One that could maybe progress us as a business beyond relying on an alliance completely outside his control to improve the bottom. and more importantly in football, the top line.

That's just me. I realise that doesn't fit into the everyone hates Bill, cos he's Bill, narrative, the club plants try and sell across the forums but I suspect it's the truth for many.

Couldn't be worse than Bill? how so, what have Villa done under him? nothing.

Never mind Villa. Look at the owners of Leicester City.
They purchased the ground, converted 103m in debt to share equity and will commit 180 million to transfer spending over the next 3 years to get into the top 5.

Is Leicester in London? Did they have a shiny new ground before the new owners came in 2 or 3 years ago? hmmmmmmmmm

Leicester is the New London mate, much more affluent than Merseyside.... we couldn't possibly match their spending.

Bill is searching 24/7 and that's the truth. In Bill we trust

They've been in that stadium for 12 years and it's a 32k 'out of a box' bowl, that you'd no doubt think was a cow shed............

He paid £39m for the club, has put another £100m in to cover the existing debt and the stadium purchase cost. He's now arrived in the PL with it's massive TV revenues - jackpot. His pledge to spend £180m in 5 years on players is possibly viable given their starting point in terms of their cost base. He might be a genuine benefactor with philanthropic intentions............or he could end up being the next Shinawatra....(who I'm certain you'll have lauded as well) Time will tell.

Let's wait four years before we decide on how successful Leicester will be.If they stay in the premiership for the next couple of seasons will be as high as they can realistically aim for. Look at what has happened to Cardiff.

Everton are on a completely different plane to clubs such as Leicester or Cardiff.

Villa could be as big as Everton but the change of ownership has seen them slip into a tailspin
which could end up in relegation.
Unless something big happens soon they run the risk of losing their best players this summer.

Everton are in a very stable position at the moment. We do no have a billionaire owner, but there are a lot of clubs who would happily be in our position.

Much more to do with putting faith in the wrong type of manager. We cut our cloth with our choice of managers, the remit for the job pointed in a certain direction we got Moyes and Martinez, thankfully, knowing they would have little in the way of resources, Lerner had money available and that attracted a different type of manager, ultimately to their regret. Newcastle are similar but much more vulgar.

We shall see.
You banged on about Norwich,Cardiff,Stoke, and Sunderland being our rivals earlier in the season. What's happened to them ?
you conveniently haven't mentioned them for a while.
