Not unnecessary at all.

Even the worlds greatest Evertonian admitted in 1999, yes 1999, he is NOT the person to take Everton forward.
That's fair do's, I'm not entering into that one. I feel my point is missed.

It's the nastiness in some (by no means all) posts that I find needless and actually quite offensive at times.

If there had been any serious interest from someone in buying Everton we would have heard about it, unrealistic asking price or no.

Love the offseason, more tedious droning from the same characters, hoping their tedious droning will drive change but not realising that the people who matter care for the opinions of Internet warriors.

Hopefully we are going to be able to compete with Leicester when they make their big push for the top 5. We barely held off big spenders, Norwich, Cardiff, and Sunderland this season.

Your intransigence is with the spending league, myself i prefer the premier league and where we can finish.
5th in Martinez's first season is a fine achievement, blowing away many of our so called high spending rivals you constantly bang on about, some of whom were relegated.
How is this possible ?
We only finished 5th because man u and spurs had really poor season's we could have easily finished 7th or 8th we need investment

We only finished 5th because Liverpool had a really good season we could have easily finished 4th.

And no, Spurs didn't have a 'really poor season' at all. The three seasons prior to this one they've had 72, 69, and 62 points.

Do you mind, people are trying to make the worst of a very good situation here

God, it's all to predictable that this was bumped after the successful footie was over, trying to snare a few week minded, who will freak when we haven't signed anyone by the second week in June!

I'm all for a takeover, but bumping this at this time of the year is a bit opportunistic and sad, like the blue union calling of all there marches when we started winning games!

The "we will see" brigade are empty and speechless when presented with someone who has put real hard dough into the club.

Worms.
An armchair like you calling match going Evertonians 'worms', don't make me laugh. It's no wonder the BU campaign didn't reach critical mass with people like you as their torch bearers.

Putting aside a discussion on player trading and transfers, exactly what has been invested into the fabric of Everton FC by the current board?
Genuine question?

Finch farm,we cannot compete in the transfer market with city's Chelsea's and utd's of this world, we must produce our own,and that is exactly what we are doing.
Long may it continue.

Genuine answer...no one...no one 'gives' money to a football club unless they are using it as a plaything/ to improve their credibility in the UK/ to increase awareness of their culture and other business interests in the UK. All so called benefactors apart from the above(you know the three I mean) have loaned their clubs sums of money , in varying amounts, which are paid back at varying rates of interest, some favourable and some not. The majority of these clubs are worse off than Everton, both according to the balance sheets, and on the field of play. When you do not have a Sheik , a Russian oil billionaire, or a billionaire American behind you, you have to tread carefully, be opportunistic when its relatively safe to do so, and subject the club to stringent, yet flexible , restraints financially. This means you either stand relatively still, or make slow but steady progress on and off the field.
