True, the man is an absolute creep , straight out of the 1970's showbiz community. I find him disturbing tbh

First time I saw the specimen was in Corrie as Betty's son done well in London. Even as a kid I wondered who was this smirking weirdo that looked totally out of place, and why the producers couldn't afford an actor for that part.

It'll be argued that the HS2 train link to Birmingham effectively makes it much easier for billionaires to travel from Mayfair and Kensington to Villa Park.

Damn our luck with these things. If only we had that link.

Ellis is already telling people Villa have been sold.

How long did that take !

No one is interested in buying football clubs outside of London, dave.

Ellis doesn't own it and press reports say nothing is in progress and he's appointed Merrill Lynch to find a taker.

Ellis is busy justifying his original decision to sell to a man who's turned up there 3 times in 2 seasons.

Ellis has informed a local BBC reporter that he belives the club has been sold to an american buyer.

Villa are a club that are fast heading towards relegation, just as we were pre Moyes.
I do not know if money has to be spent on developing the ground, but certainly there is a huge sum of money to be spent on players.
Lerner ,at this stage doesn't care who buys it as long as he escapes and as we have already seen most of the clubs that have been bought in recent years have ended up in a worse position.

I may be wrong but if memory serves me correctly there was a suggestion that Lerner looked at Everton before he bought Villa. There were many
on here lamenting that he didn't buy us.

If Bill was a Billionaire would you all be happy? I'm not for or against Bill but I would like the club to be sold to a Billionaire so we can push on but you can't argue that he changed us from almost certain to be relagated to almost a CL team.

How did he do that?
