Just out of curiosity will peoples minds change if the board crack the stadium issue this summer?

The stones laid at the Dixie dean statue are guaranteed to be there for 10 years. Someone I know very well had a conversation with someone at the club regarding the ground move at the opening and what would happen to the stone.

Don't hold your breath on a new stadium.

Depends on the context mate, we need investment without doubt - i think we will get what we need. Whats worse then having no money is spending serious money and getting worse - looking at Sunderland, Spurs et al here.

Or even Stoke.

But we dont have their Managers, we had Moyes, who despite his many faults, could certainly pick a player and now we have Martinez, who, it must be said, I do have some concerns with his overall transfer record, but im pretty certain hes a better Manager than Poyet, Hughes or AVB.

I just have to wonder where all this money keeps going, we clearly dont have the best commercial deals and we pay big wages, not compared to our peers or even our lessers, but our wage bill is certainly scary, we have also had some operating loses, which could explain a fair chunk of some of the funds, but when we do the matchbox maths, the numbers dont add up, we arent talking a few bob here, we are talking 10s of millions, just going missing, somewhere.

We sold 40m worth of players last year, a lot of it was spent of players and loans, but there must surely be a vast sum still left and then theres the 30m from Sky, surely even the clappers must be expecting some serious spending?

The proof is published every Year.

Theres a sub section in our accounts, under the heading Other Operating Costs, its a section that takes away around 25% of our income and yet nobody knows what it is, theres the proof you seek.

Don't be daft. As has been said time and time again if you're that convinced something dodgy is in OOC then you should report the club to the relevant authorities. Auditors check those numbers and are given full access to spending, so unless they're being paid off (perhaps that is part of the OOCs...) then that claim is a stupid one.

Those costs fell this year regardless.

Do auditors actually check end destinations/validity of expenditures or just certify that the accounts accurately represent expenditures irrespective of what they're on ?

What is it that you love about Bill, Steve ?

Without mentioning the various cock ups, I can quickly recall the following:

1) Fabricated incoming investment and scammed a shareholders AGM with a talk from a false prospective investor, Samuelson, later acknowledged as a "means to an end" A means to an end.....accptable business practice to get rid of a greedy manipulator

2) Clearly lied to all project partners, the media, and fans, that the £30M minimal investment required for the Kings Dock was "ringfenced" Ringfenced in as much as it was available if the banks agreed to the terms of the deal, which they didn't. Do you really think that Bill had £30 million in his back pocket ready to turn over to Gregg?

3) Quite likely encouraged media vilification of Paul Gregg to force him off the board (badly done to first family in The Echo ffs) 'Quite likely'? In other words you made it up. The media didn't need any help in respect of Paul Gregg.

4) Encouraged media manipulation of the fanbase and vilification of certain fan groups (see Ross's email leaks) Evidence please ?

5) Skewed a fans vote on moving to Kirkby by utter bull about the stadium being world class and effectively free When a faction loses a vote, its not uncommon to cry 'foul' I wasn't personally in favour of DK, put at the time it was the only game in town. I think there are more options now, but the usual suspects will agitate against wherever the stadium is.I would like to see GP redeveloped...but its a difficult one

6) Replaces Gregg with the introduction of well known football enthusiast and serial bankrupt, Robert Earl who has offices in the BVI Currently not a bankrupt, and many of our leading businessmen have been bankrupt at least once. It happens. Whats wrong with having offices in the BVI ?

7) Allows the club to take loans from Vibrac based in the BVI (owners/directors not disclosable) Vibrac specialty is loans to football clubs.

8) Alleges he has no idea on the composition of Other Operating Costs. Neither do any other Chairmen, its in the brief of the CEO. Evertons OOC is more detailed in the accounts than a lot of clubs.

9) Sold Rooney at well below market value at a time he had tolerated the club being riddled with Proactive shareholders (even the Chief Exec).
It was the first time ProActive had showed their hand, but the Rooney deal in the circumstances was not too bad( a few years ago now...). Stretford was the force....ProActive had an office inside St James Park...hence the stalking horse bid for Rooney.

Why the trust and belief ?
A lot of what you say is opinion, and not proven evidence. You know that for many years, even going back to the old days of Kipper, I have suggested that Everton need a new rich owner. This is not about personalities, its about the club, and unsubstantiated accusations of 'almost criminal' activities only serve to hinder dialogue with the club. I know you're a 'thinker' but many supporters who simply repeat or believe without question the basics of your ideaology are following the 'anti Bill' mantras like lemmings, without really thinking things through. The only comparisons we can make are with our peers, and in that respect we are currently doing pretty well. Will lok at the thread later...I really do have to go, drivingabout 50 miles to look after a show...can't be avoided, its work!

Just noticed that my answers to your individual points have merged with your points in the 'quote' box. Sorry about that!

I wonder what sort of offer Earl would accept for his 23% holding? Light now, not after some stadium has been built, but right now. He "invested" circa £9m, does absolutely nothing, is obviously not in the remotest bit interested in the Club, so what would he accept?

I'd imagine it would be alot more than he originally bought the shares for.

Earls time at everton has nicely coincided with the premier league boom due to the huge increase in tv rights
