I don't doubt this. Could you provide sources? I don't know of these happenings (forgive me, I've only recently become interested in the business side of the club)...blah blah blah blah.....Poor business? Yes. Nefarious? Doesn't seem likely......blah blah blah.....So there are some things that seem shady. But still no hard evidence. And I'm not even really requiring hard evidence. I'm suggesting that if you want change, you should present a solution rather than simply demanding change.

I'm suggesting you have no interest in dealing with any points raised about the business ethics of the Glorious Leader, and have a writing style that's been seen on this forum many times.

Also somebody else said earlier that the OOC covers our interest payments, thats not true, the interest payments have their own subheading, everything is accounted for apart from 21millions worth of Other Operating Costs.

Stevie W said there was a detailed breakdown.....why do they deceive us !!

You first (ROFL !)
You didn't ask me anything. I simply requested your sources.

I'm confused as to your hostility. It seems as though you enjoy having a go at fellow blues over this subject. Is it personal? Eh, I suppose it doesn't matter, I won't get my information from you anyway as you seem more interested in acting aloof and sarcastic than discussing this subject like an adult.

Out of curiosity - who do you suspect I am? Because I assure you I am not. I joined the forum last summer after finding it when Moyes left, and started posting for real this season when the positivity surrounding the club made me want to join in the fun. The business side is simply something I've begun to take an interest in because all signs point to us being in a better position than we are. As a 'solver' I can't help but try and find out why and how it can be solved.

Disagree mate. If you ever go to a companies AGM the BoD will get quizzed on the detail which doesn't appear in the accounts. It's by no means unusual for a company to stick up a slide breaking down OOC into top 10 areas of expenditure or similar. It's not a legal requirement and, to be honest, they could just make it up, but it's good business practice to share some information.

We already know some of it from the last full set of accounts, we had 4.2 million interest charges and ~1.4 for Finch Farm which leaves what, about 17 million ? It wouldn't be hard for them to give a bit more detail and would be good politics for them to do so. There's an overhead associated with running the club which isn't understood by the majority of the fan base. If they could go some way to explaining where the money goes ( policing, stadium maintenance, whatever ), they'd bring some people back from the conspiracy edge, but Foot Long's right, you'll never do enough to satisy everyone.

I'll answer part of my own question.

Policing costs for the season 2011/12 were 607k. See Freedom on information request ( no humping animals ) for details

My point really is that the BoD's attitude doesn't help. That sort of info is in the public domain, it would do no harm to share it.
