Have they actually just gone an renewed the Kitbag/Fanatics deal?

The one were we gave away all of our merchandising in exchange for a flat 3 million quid?

I hope we're getting a much more favourable deal than that previous disaster.

The result will no doubt be that we make more money per kit sold but sell less kits.

If I am honest, the amount of stuff we actually sell would be pretty much the same whoever we distributed through I would guess. I get that its weird you dont see any Everton merchandise anywhere but in Liverpool, but would having shirts on rails in New York, or Bristol really make a difference?

A mere bean counter in reality.
A mere bean counter who utilised his extremely sophisticated skills set to save his master gargantuan sums of money. The methods and legality of these methods we will never be privy to.

A mere bean counter that did so well regarding the role he was given by his master that he was awarded a Kings ransom. The kind of money which made him a billionaire in his own right.

Has he made some bad decisions at Everton. It looks likely doesn't it.

To call him a mere bean counter though...

Really

Yes because then I wouldn't be forced into using Kitbag/Fanatics horrible service.

I think the whole merchandising thing is a spiral. You put more shirts on rails in NY, inevitably you sell some. More people know who we are (amazes me how few people in the USA have ever heard of Everton), which means more interest in kits , etc...

Not a word I'd use in relation to some joker who called Lukaku's mother a purveyor of voodoo.

I wouldnt disagree. But that is more indicative of how poorly Everton have been marketed as a brand for years. Abroad that is. We have nailed it on here a few times. The golden nuggets of Howard and Cahill just being ignored as opportunities to build on are just 2 examples.

He;s just a hard faced accountant who was willing to risk life and limb to shuffle cash round for a monster.
Yeah, I think you may be right. Maybe he was just an average accountant willing to do very risky stuff. Let's not forget they are good friends as well. Maybe his is clever with numbers but naive in matters of football.

Both historically and currently people who own/owned football clubs are not generally football experts, they are overwhelmingly successful business man who acquire football clubs as a luxury item like they would a Ferrari or , indeed , a luxury yacht.
Many businessmen buy businesses they know little about. If they buy a steelworks for instance they don’t need to know the intricacies of the Bessemer converter they leave that to the experts they employ. What they bring is their understanding of how to make a business profitable, it’s the financial possibilities that attract them along with the prestige of owning a football club.
People like Jack Walker who combined both disciplines are the exception to the rule.

The problem at the club is our ownership are on a completely different planet to the rest of us.

Denise talking about challenging for the title at BMD whilst we are sat in 11th 10 wins in 30 games, out of the cups against crap sides, a midtable proven failed manager and Calvert Lewin as our striker lollollollollollollol
