How does it work for the City Group?
This is the part that gets me about the assertion about a supposed 30% rule worldwide. I know financial rules don't seem to apply to Manchester City in any way, but even discounting their (if I have my count correct) 11 other clubs that they own - most of which are 80-100% ownership and the ones that aren't are above 30% - just off the top of my head Arsenal's owner already owned an MLS team (which you could potentially discount by pointing out that MLS doesn't have actual clubs) and Villa's owner literally just bought a >30% share in a Portuguese top flight team. So without even digging into it, that's three Premier League clubs whose owners quite literally own larger than 30% shares in other clubs, none of which are even slightly hidden.

Now that I was a bit more curious I just looked one by one through the current Premier League, and here are other clubs whose owners have very well documented stakes above 30% in others that I could find in five minutes:
  • Bournemouth (Lorient)
  • Brentford (Midtjylland)
  • Brighton (Saint-Gilloise)
  • Forest (Olympiacos)
  • Southampton (Göztepe)
So of the other 19 clubs in the Premier League right now, 42% have owners with a greater than 30% share in other clubs, often in Europe.

Probably comes down to the difference in language within the rules. Some parts talk about “significant interest” while other talk about “material influence” and it will come down to how they decide what constitutes each etc in relation to individuals or groups.

Nope, they don't care if you own clubs outside of England.

That's the relevant part Damo was missing.

UEFA does but only when there is a possibility they could play each other in a competition.

Load of posters comparing legislative johnsons...mind numbingly dull.
Absolutely Also speculating about club finacial and investor matters that seriously to me is just seems to be a major waste of time because with some posters here you could drop a 30 page dissertation with citations and it be futile as it conflicts with whatever agenda they have and keep mindlessly blab away , everyone loses
