The Everton Board Thread

Saudi's wanted Newcastle because Staverly has been trying to get her hands on the club for years - Newcastle were a basketcase of a club when they came in - bottom 3, fans at war with the board, bang average squad - sound familiar ?

I like Farhad but I'll lose respect for him if he sells us down the creek to these chancers. I know he's spent a lot of dough and he isn't an Evertonian so he doesn't owe us anything but still - I would like to think that he will hand us over to a custodian who'll have the pashun, desire and deep pockets to have us going toe to toe with the likes of City, RS and eventually Newcastle rather than being another midtable US owned club fighting for 10th-13th every season.
So you don't want American owners because being owned by a petro state is the only way to compete with the RS (American owners).

And so it begins.

If the rumours and reports are in fact true, we're going to go through a difficult transition period with some ups and downs, whoever buys the clubs.

We're a loss making organisation with an expensively assembled but ineffective squad, so that will need to be rectified. Profit margins will be worked on.

Still, the Moshiri era has been a failure, which means we're going to have to take the rough with the smooth.
By this do you mean relegation/promotion or more so years similar to now while the club restructures into longer term (midtable) stability?

This 777 group seem to want to be very big very quick.
They have Dan Dransfield who overseen the City group multi club model. So that's not a bad thing.
But looking at football clubs they have invested in apart from Seville (2015) the rest have been in the past 2 years.

My concern is where & how they fund any takeover , I've just read they have met with amongst others Newcastles owners.

Don't know what to make of this tbh.

Make a quick buck ? or long term multi club success ?

The thing is you don't have to spend fortunes on players to be relatively successful.
I'd much rather have a properly run club, with highly qualified people in the correct roles running every aspect of the club then the current circus and jobs for the boys we have now
This.

Mid table stability and the stadium completed sounds a heavenly proposition right now. Wouldn’t be surprised at all if the club is sold again once Bramley Moore is up and running.
