The Everton Board Thread

It does seem a little arbitrary, considering who has recently bought into one of the clubs in the Premier League. We were being sponsored by companies who are owned by a citizen of a naughty country, so now we can’t spend 50p and are under investigation by the league. Other teams are owned by actual states who are doing the most terrible things and ‘spend away lads’. I’m not sure why Everton aren’t banging this drum just a little louder. No need to be insensitive like, but it all does seem very random.
...all at the behest of a government up to their necks in Russian kick back money.

Just the Saudis getting their rear end kissed as per usual by oil addicted nations
Add it to the LIV & PGA merger

Nothing to see here

the lad out the echo joe thomas isn’t shy on calling out this board i hope he’s got something planned for them this week .
Yeah he has been a breath of fresh air so far in that respect. Don't think he covered himself in any glory with his initial reporting of 'Headlock-gate' but I'll caveat that with the fact that, in fairness, he apologised about it very soon after.

Hopefully he keeps the pressure on with regards to the board this week as you say.

Don't think he will be there long, just a feeling..

I think they’ve done everything they could to send us down. It was the support and a few good results and bad ones for the relegated teams which kept us up.
Anyway they are carrying on with a no show, no communication or plan for the season ahead.
The ongoing silence by way of pending change to the leadership is getting concerning.

The longer this continues then the less of a time window there is to conduct the needed squad updates. Make no mistake, there is zero cash available until whatever ownership change is pending happens and Chairman Bill influence is removed form player/staff recruitment matters.

This is a shorter closed season than usual also with the winter World Cup just gone which is magnifying the problem.

Still nothing from the Board, I find it shocking. No mention of another ‘ or anything which indicates what action is being taken to prevent us being again in a relegation battle. Even if it’s nothing more than words, showing they are aware and acknowledge the issue is a step forward.
To be honest mate, they publicly acknowledged it last season, and stuff all changed.
Heads in the sand.

Successful organisations submit themselves to both an external and internal review/audit, where relevant.
Only they couldn't go down that route here as the findings would very obviously have been damning.

We don't have a strategy, other than a group of friends and associates permanently stuck in a comfort zone where back-slapping and ignorance are the order of the day. Club affairs are barely an afterthought, unless they can be manipulated to suit their own ends.

We improve automatically with this cabal removed. It is just utter misfortune that these buffoons were imposed on us.
Some areas have clearly been targeted for long term improvement when you look at the appointments made, however, the elephant (or toad) in the room is bill and his buddies for whom zero accountability or openness to change seems to exist.

He has to go

Will be 2 weeks this weekend from the Bournemouth game. That's the sort of time you expect to start seeing changes.

If there is nothing in the next couple of weeks, then the fans need to become vocal and protest, so that the board cannot just try to ride this out like nothing has happenned. That's what I've always suspected will happen. I won't believe we will get meaningful change until I see it happen.

Sack the board
Moshiri out

Seriously think they've all got a "Titty lip on", incredibly still getting paid for nothing, they probably feel hard done by, by the fans, because the worm has turned, fans who would not have dreamt to turn on them have had enough and turned against them. It's Seriously damaging the club, we need direction, a plan of action, a new Chairman and board " sharpish " Moshiri must act quickly.

Moshiri doesn’t have the nerve for it. That’s why he is desperate for ‘investors’ to come in and say they want places on the board, so that he doesn’t have to be the one to shift Bill and the others out.
