The Everton Board Thread

I wonder if the new board will include Thelwell/any-future-DOF.
It may do but I'd be against it.

There needs to be very clear lines of demarcation between football business and football, and his role is most definitely in the latter element.

Being a board member potentially compromises the DOF role and given the interference we've had from above in football matters, that should be avoided at all costs.

Client journo for his sugardaddy prentice, along with okeefe and boyland of the pathetic.

I’ll be glad to see the back of Prentice when he gets his marching orders too!
Great post and spot on.

Okeefe wouldn’t say a bad word about kenwright and co for years. Prentice is a classic jobs for the boys.

Can’t wait till he’s off with bill.

What about Prentice? Any word on him? He's another one who cant be allowed to stay on.
Not lived in the UK for 25 years so I'm not up to date on employment law so I'm sorry If I offend anybody.

Day one of the new regime:

Every single staff member is on notice.

They'll reinterview for their position and if successful they're on probation.

Those who are competent and with the right drive have nothing to worry about.

Those who have freewheeled through the day will soon be found out.

I'll come back and be the bad guy for them if they like, 900k.year should do it lol

(honestly, I reckon the majority of staff at Everton are more than capable. The whole organisation has clearly lacked structure and direction for years. Give people clearly defined roles and areas of responsibility and they'll shine.)

The only ones who appear competent at the moment are the ground staff. That pitch looked excellent at times this year.

Yes, I'm not talking about the officers of the club. But the board and anyone who directly served them in the capacity of feeding information that protected them into the public domain need to be down the road.

I don’t know. Success isn’t all about directly pleasing the fans. At least, not in the short term.

Not everyone on the board ought to be thinking about what we want to hear. Sentiment needs balance with cold, hard business heads with a long-term vision.

As far as I’m concerned, the fan advisory board is tokenistic and an outright failure in its present incarnation. You only need look at the biggest rift between club heirachy and fans in history to see that.

I think a representative on the actual board would be far more meaningful.
What would be a measure of success for the Board?
-On field performances?
-Trophies?
-Financial Profit?
-Stability?
-Selecting the right people for key positions, DoF, Manager, etc?
-Setting the cultural tone from the top?
-Pleasing the fans?

The current board has failed at every KPI I can think of. I am sure there are more they have failed at?

Like Japanese knotweed, Kenwright's lackeys and enablers infest the club.

Metaphorical flame-thrower required

I'm not sure they currently have any metrics that they measure their performance against.

We've failed at pretty much everything except getting the stadium built.

There's no accountability at Everton. At least, not for anyone except the sacrificial manager of the day.

Just wish they would make it flatter. If you sit in the first few rows like we do you can only see half the pitch due to what looks like a rising hump running from goal post to goal post that seems to peak in the middle. Always wondered why .. drainage????

Or does the whole pitch just slant a bit from the Main Stand down to the Bullens?

Kenwright has infested this club since 1989 so his rotten culture will have permeated deep into the club.

Those at the club who've served just below board level need to be made more accountable and scrutinzed as well over the coming months by supporters.
Why don’t we just put the supporters on the board. They seem to want everybody else sacked. Then they can feel the heat.

Nothing to do with wanting everyone sacked. We just want leadership and accountibility from those who run the club.
The culture at the club has been negative for far too long and removing BK isn't a case of job done.
