The Everton Board Thread

We are about 3 weeks away from our first game of the pre-season and two weeks away from overseas training camp, the transfer window is open - we have not brought in reinforcements (we avoided relegation by 2 points last season), we have no Board as such and the Chairman of the club's position is unclear, We have no news of further investment in the club or the new ground, we are under investigation for breaching Premier League Rules....

Other than that everything is fine.

Moshiri is the key here. The only thing Moshiri recognises is concerted strength aimed at him. Mass protests: thousands outside FF and Goodison, bombard the media day after day. This feller does not like publicity anymore for obvious reasons.

I'll tell you what doesn't help: 15 people turning up outside the Liver Building post-season to 'force a change'.

The likes of Moshiri look at that and take comfort.

Another terrible PR mistake by a fan group that has a record in daft flash mob stunts.

What should they have done Dave ? They can not force people to turn up to protest. Weren't you one of the ones telling them it was wrong to protest before the matches had kicked off ?

The point I was making mate is that right from the outset, he should have been getting bank money to fund the project. Did Levy pay for the Spurs stadium, did he fiddlesticks, it was financed.

Moshiri might have had ‘support’ from Usmanov but, I still contend that most sensible businessmen would have sought and acquired external funding rather than using their own.
And that is why we are in the state we are.

You are right in how things would have been done by sensible businessmen, but we were never acquired by sensible people with that mindset.

Just look at about every decision that has been made since the offset.

If MSP loan £150m, is that all ringfenced for the stadium to be finished? Or does it get wiped off the overall club debt and therefore gives us the ability to spend money in this transfer window?

So no problems then?
