The Everton Board Thread

Be straight with people, there will never be a right time will there? There will always be a issue or potential problem. A match coming up, a player close to signing might be put off (seen that being said today) , creating toxic divide which affects the team (how many protests have there been over the years versus how many times we have been poor) and so on . Farcical and all too predictable.

Said it after the season ended at Arsenal, anymore protests or fan campaign attempts would of been met with the same things said over and over again in previous years with the recent pre match activities to cheer the team on in difficult times thrown into mix classified as unity to stealthy attempt to put off any protest as toxic and divisive and ending any unity.

I admire anyone in that campaign who has the patience and composure to constantly put up with some of the most obnoxious and disingenuous guff thrown at them.

A manager you have not supported at any point, might I add

Instant gratification is a nonsense argument too and you know it. We've not been competitive for 30 plus years and fans just want to not dread watching their team play. We want to be away from relegation worries and to not be ran in shambolic fashion leading to financial problems.

If that's too much to ask then whats the point. We may as well find another sport

I've always supported Lampard - I just dont worship him as I think like Slippy, Rooney and to a lesser extent Arteta he's over rated based on his time as a player rather than his actual accomplishments as a manager.

Failed promotion with Derby

FA Cup Final Loss against Arsenal managing Chelsea

Taking Everton from 16th to the dizzy heights of 16th in half a season.

I can assure you im not disappointed with modern football.

The running of our club has been a disgrace and we as a fanbase should not sit idly by and watch it burn.

Action might not change anything, but at the very least we should TRY.

Well you should be - because without FFP Moshers would be giving Lampard £150 million this summer to make a go of it whereas he isn't allowed because of some utter corrupt system in place to keep the top teams top forevermore.

Whats the point of going to the Olympic games to be told you'll have no chance of finishing on the podium / winning an Olympic medal?

The whole things a farce - who's arsed what league we play in its corrupt from top to bottom honestly man.

27 years mate.

I think people have been quite patient.

We have been but if you've recently changed manager/DoF and then fans start clamouring to sack the board you are not giving the new people the best chance to succeed. The board will stay in place regardless and any ramping up just gives the players an easy excuse to put poor performances down to conflicts at the club.

This kind of thing should be left to when it's clear and obvious that the current management team is about to be fired, up to the point a new manager is appointed. We need to be about as harmonious as we could possibly be this season or we could find ourselves in a lot of bother - these protests don't bode well to trying to achieve that.

There is a fairly good chance of that anyway imo.

No, it’s got absolutely nothing to do with the management team. Last year when Benitez was a dead man walking people tried to stage a protest against the board at the Arsenal game and the happy clappers still shouted them down.

I know that, but just watch our players when we give them any kind of excuse. I would love a new Chairman and CEO so I hope they succeed, but if they don't which I don't expect them to I also hope they don't continue on with these throughout the season.

We dont have a united fanbase anyway, 1 side wants change, 1 side wants to see how it goes, 1 side even blames FFP for Everton wasting 1.4billion pounds in 6 years.

There will be never be a good time, we will never be united.

If some people are happy with the way things are going, good for them, but personally, I am very far from it.

I support the idea of protest. But I’m not really up on this groups aims. Raising the point about what a shamble things are is nothing new. Everyone with a passing interest knows we have made a huge mess of our opportunity.

I’ve read the groups previous statements etc. I’ll be honest I stayed in my seat to watch the game and support the team with my kid when they walked out. But certainly didn’t jeer anyone.

They are protesting against the shambolic running of the club. What do they want really. Mosh to sell up asap? Mosh to just kick BK and Denise (this can’t all be about Bill)? Mosh to apologise (again) and acknowledge past failures in management and spending (again).

The communication has trickled in recently. It’s a bit bland, but no company worth £0.5bill is giving a running financial commentary to staff, never mind fans (although we are the blood of the club. It dies without us). We will enter the season with a better manager than last season, better coaching support staff, hopefully a proper DoF, and the stadium is literally sprouting from the sand. It’s happening.

I’m not having a go or being contrary. I genuinely want to know so I can agree or disagree. Anyone who knows more about this, what specifically do they want. Everton being less crap is not specific enough.

We can start with the points raised on the flag.

Personally I want Moshiri to sell and new owners to launch every single member of the existing board out of a cannon into the sea. Not sure about everyone else but that’s just me.

If you like what Kenwright has done since 1989 don’t protest, if you don’t like what he’s done to this club protest

I dont think anyone is happy (I certainly am not the last few seasons have been utter garbage) but the reality is whats the point of supporting a club like Everton/Villa/WHU/Wolves these days?

You get the odd top 7 finish, you sign a few players, you eventually lose the better players to the teams above and you fail to replace them at some stage meaning FFP does you over and holds you back for a few years whilst clubs like Man Utd can spend and spend and spend some more regardless of if they get it right or wrong until they inevitably strike gold.

I've seen fans on here / twitter call other Blues happy clappers yet in the same sentence they'll say they just want Everton to be secure in midtable without fear of a relegation battle.

I mean that is the ambition of clubs like Norwich and Fulham - this is what it is for us now whilst Man City, Chelsea and the rest take turns of hoovering up all the trophies and CL places.

Someone will say "but FB92 look at WHU they finished 6th last season" well Everton finished 6th/7th many times under Moist yet were they really "good times" as Kenwright put it?

I wouldn't say so.

So what is "good times" and can they be realistically achieved in modern day PL with FFP, VAR, 5 subs and what else they plan in the future to continue stacking the odds in the scab 6's favour?

Outside of a Leicester fluke I'm going to say no hence why all this teeth gnashing over the board is 10 years too late imo.

I don’t know anyone can look at the mess we’re in and say “oh it’s because we haven’t spent enough because the nasty FFP men won’t let us”. These people are not sound of mind at all.
