The Everton Board Thread

Empty threats. The club basically laughed at it and the PL were never punishing Everton (bad for the brand). Burnley tried to get a few quid out of us but quickly backed off.

FFP is a joke.
If any of that were even the least bit true Moshiri would have written cheques in the last two windows like he has in the first few years. But he didn't, because the club could have faced very real and very catastrophic consequences of breaking P&S. It's exactly why we've been transparent with the league on all our [very limited] transfer dealings for about 18 months.

Plus if you think the Premier League care one iota about "the mighty Everton" or that their brand is affected by anyone other than the Sky Six, I've got a bridge to sell you.

Because of an Usmanov shaped hole as well. FFP is just an excuse, never bothered him before.

He's been looking for new investment/a sale for the last year.

arguably they did take a few quid off us, just depends how you look at it. They also got rid of McNeil in the same breath ffs.

Dude is worth $2.9bn, not exactly oil money but hardly short of a few quid either.

Wasn’t far off with my guess

Instead of putting a £4m downpayment on McNeil we could’ve just bought Brentford and released all of their players, tying up one of the relegation spots. FFS.
I'm surprised Dele Alli didn't have a look in his piggy bank. He could have bought the gaff and played himself every week. Wouldn't have even had to move house. ?

Ivan Toney for £30m or Brentford for £3m.

It's like when you see those street vendors selling t-shirts out of a shopping trolley: "£1.50 each or three for a fiver".
