The Everton Board Thread

Obviously not or it’d have been done long ago.

The most effective thing people could do is to stop giving the clowns their money. I’ve not put a single penny the clubs way in several years because they simply do not deserve it.
Yeah, that's the only thing I can think of that might move the needle just a little bit: get people to stop going to matches at all. Let them play a few in an empty stadium, and maybe then the message will start to sink in.

But that's easy to say from my seat in front of my computer here in America, especially with the time at Goodison winding down. I completely understand how hard it would be to stay away for the fans who are lucky enough to be there in person.

I’m not sure it would have that much of an effect, given tv revenue.
this board have an extremely thick skin and they’ll be there till fans hound them out.

Surprised he bothered. I’d like to think he was uncomfortable with the sack the board chants, but he won’t give a toss.

People are saying left after 3-0.

You can’t become a successful football club if a megalomaniac surrounds himself by people who also benefit by telling them no wrong. That’s what has happened here. Add to that a billionaire willing to let that remain and...

Also all the people who have placated it over the years such as the media, fans forum representatives, supporters club representatives, online plants going after the dissent voices as they see it, trolls. It all adds up no matter how minuscule.

All true that mate, spot on.

He should have been run out of the club years ago, but people clapped him when he came on the screen.

This board misses every chance to pick talented Managers. It seems the non secrets that are Eddie Howe, Thomas Frank, Zerbi, Emery, Arteta weren't on our radar. Instead we opted for a couple of Martinets (Benitez, Koeman), a dinosaur (Allardyce), a free agent (Lampard) and had inadequate patience with Silva and Martinez. Only Carlo seems a decent fit.
Because our board genuinely have no idea about football

They’re a perfect example of exactly how to NOT run a football club

Proper proper hate them, I cba making a list of their decisions. But it really is astonishing how we have got near enough everything wrong.

I was firmly on the fence regarding Kenwright, mainly due to being a little clueless/young on the things when they were happening - Kirkby for eg.

But that, 'you've had good times ' continues to grate. Says everything about his feelings regarding his reign, genuinely should be ashamed. Us being relegated at one of the final seasons at Goodison, even a kopite couldn't write/dream up that.

Hang your heads you horrible horrible people.

And you know what the big giveaway in all that is?

When it comes to other clubs these people I mentioned are not shy in calling out issues and even mocking other clubs for their faults. Liverpool, Newcastle, West Ham and so on. But when it comes to ourselves? Nah. Toxic fans. Toxic atmosphere. Just get behind the team. Be careful what you wish for.

I honestly believe that a non bias, no restrictive journalist, if they were to really do a deep dive into what has happened with Everton it would be more appalling than it already seems and if it was to all come out, be shameful on a lot of people.

A wonderful game he’s played though, no?

Only at Everton could we go from one of the “Elite” teams in England, run by Carter… to the biggest trophy dry spell in our entire history (including War time), and yet instead of mutiny… our fans clap him.

I offer those fans no sympathy. He’s a cancer on the club.

Our problem is, we’re not just fighting the board, we’re fighting each other, it’s been the case for years.

Whether it’s division over Kenwright, Martinez or Benitez, there’s been division in the fan base for about 10 years now, and it’s led to Toxicity.

The campaigns seem like closed shops, so fans can’t get invested, and even then you’ve still got people unsure.

Give Liverpool fans their due, when something happens they don’t like. They all form together and make a statement, protest and it quickly gets shut down.

Kenwright should have been legged 10 years ago (at the latest), but we’re too concerned about our image to do anything, sadly.

I’ll say this. Whoever is to eventually replace these people on the board they better be decent because the martyr and his lackeys won’t let people forget us all who didn’t accept this nonsense.

Just football minded people.

I don’t care who owns us, just bring in people who understand football and how to run a football club. Not charity, not being an ex-Pro 35 years ago, not show business. Football, that’s it.

Surely it’s not that hard?
