The Everton Board Thread

It doesn't necessarily mean they go tomorrow. An announcement that Kenwright will leave the club at the end of the season would be a step in the right direction even if it is around 20 years too late.
I heard Alan Stubbs saying "sell up" on TalkSport. If he decides to sell up, he won't be sanctioning any transfers

Is all this asking the board to resign stuff not a bit short sighted during the transfer window, any disruption at that level could tie our hands on the footballing side...

They're doing quite a good job of that at the moment in place.

We're having to sell to buy anyway to so it makes no difference.

I asked ChatGPT to write us a haiku protesting the board:

Silent whispers, Fans' hearts filled with despair, Everton's board fail.

Pretty good! Not sure about the silent whispers, though…

The Everton board, a true disgrace
Their decisions, a terrible case
They spend the money, yet the team is a mess
The fans they annoy, the players they oppress
They make a promise, but it's all just talk
The Everton board, an impossible task
They cannot lead, they cannot see
The Everton board, pure mediocrity

The one thing I don't agree with is the anger directed at Moshiri. This was a businessman who put up the capital
and sought experienced managers to create value with that capital in a business he did not know. Moshiri has been let down
by everyone at GP other than Big Duncan and he has been especially let down by Billy Liar.

Is it Moshiri's fault that he backed Big Sam when he spunked away his cash on Tosun? Or Frank when he got Dwight for 20 million?
The list of transfers signed off by so-called experts in the field is a disgrace. Even statistically it is difficult to buy 20 players and for all
of them to turn out crap. I recall Benitez was crap too at LFC buying players but he got lucky big time with Luis Suarez and Alonso, where's
our statistical luck?
Moshiri has shown no leadership and has failed to bring anybody in who does. He's been an absolute disaster for the club. He's put his hand in his pocket but to be honest that's absolutely no use at all if you don't ensure that the money is being spent well. It's absolutely staggering to think that he's been a successful businessman and is an intelligent bloke, because as a football club owner he's been a bumbling, incompetent fool.

I think you're taking it too literally. If Moshiri is actively looking for a new buyer and it takes a few months then so be it. No one expects the circus to close down tomorrow. We just don't want the clowns in charge this time next year.

It is Moshiri’s fault that he left the incompetent buffoons on the board in charge of running the club on a day to day basis, yes.

It’s also Moshiri’s fault that he has personally appointed managers and DOF’s despite not having a clue about football, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that we employed a Leicester scout as DOF, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that he allowed Carlo Ancelotti to have a stupid clause in his contract that allowed him to walk out without us receiving any sort of compensation, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that we appointed fat finished Kopite legend Rafael Benitez, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that we’ve signed numerous players on the whims of his agent mates looking to make a quick buck, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that 7 years into his tenure we are worse than ever, yes. There is much more to owning a football club than throwing money around aimlessly, unfortunately.

Yes as we always sell to buy. Never had a billionaire in charge though have we. The selling of the better players should have stopped ad building a decent team should not have been a problem.

We the fans have been conned. Always have been really.

To be fair it's not just lack of money/ investment is it ? It's ffp, the only clubs impervious to ffp are the top six, who regularly have European investment, many more and much bigger sponsors/ kit deals etc.I
It's got to the stage now there are two leagues and ffp has done that making the other 14 clubs practically feeder clubs.

I heard Alan Stubbs saying "sell up" on TalkSport. If he decides to sell up, he won't be sanctioning any transfers
If he wants to sell a Premier league club and get the premium that comes with it he needs to sanction every transfer available that hasn’t come from or had involvement with his leech of a friend Kia, Billy liar or Sharp

As I remember it, didn't Bill say he would stick around for two years to convey his experience, until Moshiri had got his feet under the table... That I believe was said at the time Moshiri took over.

He ain’t selling as there are no serious buyers….not until that stadium is built at least.

We’re stuck with Morshiri who has wasted his own money with some seriously flawed decisions.

For the jokers saying sell up (and I agree) there are two questions to ask

1) is there anyone who is interested in buying the club in the first place (hardly a queue of billionaires at the door is there)

2) will they be better than what we have now ( chances are anything is better than this)

Just my thoughts
