The Everton Board Thread

He ain’t selling as there are no serious buyers….not until that stadium is built at least.

We’re stuck with Morshiri who has wasted his own money with some seriously flawed decisions.

For the jokers saying sell up (and I agree) there are two questions to ask

1) is there anyone who is interested in buying the club in the first place (hardly a queue of billionaires at the door is there)

2) will they be better than what we have now ( chances are anything is better than this)

Just my thoughts

At the very least Moshiri should rid us of a board of Directors bereft of any plan or ideas, whom are totally out of touch, the word Dinosaurs is not out of place. And replace them with an experienced, pro active board with a plan and some new ideas.

I'd like to think that Echo headline is also an introspective take about themselves, because this problem isn't new as they've been as silent as the grave up until now.

It finally feels that the heat is being turned up on these charlatans. It is so vital that external pressure is added to our own dissenting voices to isolate the Board as much as possible so it may finally dawn on them what failures they are.

Our future just looks so bleak. As we have two completely huge problems incapsulated in two very different men.

We have the Moshiri problem. He's pretty much out of the picture and is as absent as you can probably get as owner. He'd drop us as quickly as Ancelotti did if there was someone out there who could give him his money back.

Then we have the Kenwright problem. A delusional megalomaniac who has surrounded himself entirely with his own bootlickers on the Board and still believes that the performance of him and his cronies is stellar despite the mountains of evidence to the contrary.

And sadly, these two problems are so systemic because each one relies on the other to protect their own little bubble. Moshiri needs Kenwright to keep running the club, because getting involved is the absolute furthest thing from his mind. Kenwright meanwhile, needs Moshiri to stay in situ because he knows a new owner will fire him out a cannon pronto.

The only thing that can save us a new owner in shining armour who can buy Moshiri out completely and pay off the loans he has given the club whilst securing the stadium financing and have a new Board of Directors ready to go on day one. The fact that there's a very real chance we'll be a Championship club by this calendar year with these kind of uncertainties hanging over our head is beyond scary.

We might be [Poor language removed] but we are the only club that can hold board meetings in a phone box

It's a welcome sight to see but there are just so many things wrong with the club it's like Donald Trump; where do you start to even point at something and say "let's start there!"? The board has been woeful for eons but, somehow, they are the second highest paid board in the country. Think about that while looking at the list @Azza put up. Our 3 man board(Sharp is nothing) makes more than Newcastle's 6 person board and we are where we are. I honestly don't get how Moshiri is fine letting this just "happen". He may a billionaire but if I hire someone to do something for me for $50 and they do a pisspoor job that shouldn't even get them $10, I'm going to remember it. How is he ok with them making millions a year without any semblance of a plan?

It is Moshiri’s fault that he left the incompetent buffoons on the board in charge of running the club on a day to day basis, yes.

It’s also Moshiri’s fault that he has personally appointed managers and DOF’s despite not having a clue about football, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that we employed a Leicester scout as DOF, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that he allowed Carlo Ancelotti to have a stupid clause in his contract that allowed him to walk out without us receiving any sort of compensation, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that we appointed fat finished Kopite legend Rafael Benitez, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that we’ve signed numerous players on the whims of his agent mates looking to make a quick buck, yes.

It’s Moshiri’s fault that 7 years into his tenure we are worse than ever, yes. There is much more to owning a football club than throwing money around aimlessly, unfortunately.

MOSHIRI OUT
These are all seriously valid points. Can't really argue with any of them.

They don't half pick their moments for these types of announcements. In the space of one day we have had one telling fans to behave themselves at the ground (Nothing to do with the sack the board chants of course) and a self appraisal about how great the CEO is (Nothing to do with the fact that she is included in the sack the board chants and the front page of the echo piece).

They do it every time things are bad to try and deflect and still don't realise just how predictable they are.

Maybe its time for them to do another review on themselves done by themselves.

The one thing I don't agree with is the anger directed at Moshiri. This was a businessman who put up the capital
and sought experienced managers to create value with that capital in a business he did not know. Moshiri has been let down
by everyone at GP other than Big Duncan and he has been especially let down by Billy Liar.

Is it Moshiri's fault that he backed Big Sam when he spunked away his cash on Tosun? Or Frank when he got Dwight for 20 million?
The list of transfers signed off by so-called experts in the field is a disgrace. Even statistically it is difficult to buy 20 players and for all
of them to turn out crap. I recall Benitez was crap too at LFC buying players but he got lucky big time with Luis Suarez and Alonso, where's
our statistical luck?
I was having a go at the board Roy, Mr. Moshiri is not on the board. Although the one thing he should have done when he bought the club, too late now, was to bring in his own professional people to run the club for him, then again it’s doubtful that Kenwright would have sold the club under those terms.

Yep.

An independent person has come in and said "In my view in order for your business to be successful you need to rehire / hire new 26 positions and also follow this 120 point plan."

And the board, DBB in particular seems to think this is something kind of pat on the back, job well done sort of thing.
The same CEO who let an underperforming manger (who was himself sacked weeks later) sack the head physio. She is not a CEO in anything other than name.

Yes

He appointed all these DOFs and managers. It's his fault. That's how business works. If you don't want to be judged on your recruitment then don't own a business.

The Chelsea one is stupid. 90% of them are there just to cream the top

Well Head of Medical Services.

What they did do though is a couple of weeks later appoint the head physio to the position of head of medical services.

Because of course they all have a great track record of managing soft tissue injuries.
