The Everton Board Thread

So some guy walks into directors box, puts her in a headlock and somehow no one is reported or arrested?

Such a weird story, if they were going to fabricate something in an attampt to take heat off themselves then surely they could have come up with a better blag than that ? Which sort of makes me wonder if it did happen because it's such a mad thing to make up.

We need to get rid of the board and owner in order to then get a new manager in...in the next few days...and hand him nothing because there's no cash there?

I think the fans have finally sumberged to the idiotic level of the owner and board.

There's a perfect storm of terrible fan strategy in the middle of a season that will merge with the owner's and board's ongoing disgrace that will sink us now.

The fans saved us last season. The will to do it isnlt there now. There's only a will to kill ourselves because some believe it'll end Moshiri and the board. But it'll end Everton for a generation.
Thing is I have some sympathy there. It's been some time coming but if we were a horse...
PS I agree, we go down, we'll be glue in 2 years

Here's where we are: the fans are demanding Lampard is sacked and a new manager be brought in...but they also want the only people who can take that decision to get out of the club right now.

Can anyone spot a flaw in this masterplan?
Moshiri is the one who would sack the board, and Thelwell should in theory be selecting the manager who Moshiri would the approve. No real conflict there.

Lots of us have wanted change for years though

Also when we say sack the board, we aren't silly enough to expect it to happen overnight. What I want is them stating that they will be stepping down, at the end of the season etc. That's how this works, not overnight.
That doesn't work AT ALL though mate.

They will never give that assurance.

What we have now is any route out of this effectively closed down: the board cantsack thre manager and they'll be unwilling to get behind him and back him with cash.

God knows I want these clowns out, but the status of this club comes first. These protests are arse before elbow for me.

Burden of proof is always on the one making the claim. For example, I now have to prove that Davek is actually Razor Ruddock, you shouldn't all believe me until I've compiled my report.

I'm afraid it's extremely difficult to believe the event described occured. I know it's uncomfortable to not believe a woman making a claim of this nature, but the idea that they couldn't catch this person on some kind of camera if it did happen is outrageous.

Made the very same point.

And the story coming out on a game day where protests are happening too....don't need to be Alistair Campbell to pull that PR spin

Are there any good Everton Twitter Spaces doing the rounds ? Imagine they would be equally depressing as they are entertaining.

If they loved the club they should resign knowing it's not good enough and better leadership is needed.

I said the same thing last year.

But no...Blue Bill will still be there. Denise will be too after a few neck massages on the clubs dime.

That's completely unlikely.

A protest should have achievable goals.

The protests should ALL have been about getting this board and owner to sack the manager and get players in this month. That's all.

The rest is a luxury we cant afford if we want to keep our PL status.

There is no prospect of the board resigning overnight on mass. No one is surely naive enough to expect that. The protests are about starting the process of change.

In fact they could announce they will be looking for new board members with immediate effect. Why have they not accepted they at least need help if they do not intend to resign?

Also, how can I have faith in Moshiri's judgement in finding a replacement? Should I even ask for a new manager if I dont trust the person who will find a successor?

I want Moshiri out before he is allowed to make any more long term decisions to the detriment of my club. And that includes selecting managers.

I agree that it's highly unlikely, just pointing out that there is logical conflict with wanting the board and manager replaced.
