The Everton Board Thread

I think Debbie will walk. I’ll be amazed if she stays on through all this flak.

Her relationship with the fans has gone completely. Her position is untenable.

Sadly I don’t think Bill will even consider his position.

This may sound a bit daft but I did fleetingly entertain the notion today that maybe FM has found a buyer, and that communication put out by the club today was a parting shot at the fans as it wasn’t a particularly unifying message …but then I come to my senses
We can wish that he fire sales the club as surely he can see no way back....

Utterly bizarre for someone to buy a club and then keep the previous owner in charge. Immediately created a dysfunctional leadership setup. Everything has spiralled downwards since.

That was my thoughts at the time and made me wary of the future. I was surprised by how many didn’t see it as a reason for caution.

Let’s just be clear here… since 1995, let’s just take this in. Trophy wins and final appearances.

Leicester - 4 trophies, 3 finals
Aston Villa - 1 Trophy, 5 finals
Middlesbrough - 1 Trophy, 5 finals
Blackburn - 1 Trophy, 1 Final
Wigan Ath. - 1 trophy, 2 finals
Portsmouth - 1 trophy, 2 finals
Birmingham City - 1 Trophy, 2 finals
Swansea City - 1 Trophy, 1 Final
Cardiff City - 0 Trophies, 2 Finals
Newcastle - 0 Trophies, 2 finals
Southampton - 0 Trophies, 2 Finals

All appeared in more finals than us Or been more successful.

All to have appeared I. Equal amounts as Everton.

Bolton, Millwall, Crystal Palace, Stoke, Tranmere Rovers, West Ham, Sunderland, Fulham, Bradford City.

NSNO, it means something, and simply put; this on board have failed us, dismantled our prestige and set a complacency where “good times” is acceptable.
I just wish when fans are on phone ins etc they back their case with cold hard facts like this. I did something similar the other day - up to Kenwright taking over we have either won or come runners up in 32 domestic and European competitions (counting top division and knock out comps) - since then we have been on ONE final only (and even then only a further two semi finals) the difference in success is stark - no one can challenge that or call it biased.

People convinced themselves Bill was just staying on temporarily during the handover period to help with a smooth transition. I would’ve thought alarm bells would start ringing 5 years later like, but apparently not.

Surely not one of them can attend again. Position is untenable.

Do they think everything is just going to go away? No threat has been made to them so nothing changes.

The absentee shadow owner needed somebody to run the club in his absence.

He's sat in Monaco tonight doing whatever billionaires do. He's not going to be pressurized into a sale that loses him millions if he doesn't want to.

If there are resignations from the board, most likely I'd guess the replacements will be from outside the city and barely if ever turn up to a match this season unless results improve greatly.

A couple of wins (yeah I know) and people will start trying to subside things particularly if a new manager comes in.

Bill will either need to die or be pushed out by a new owner before he releases his big fat sweaty grip on EFC!
