I get that but as I said, doesn’t anyone in a professional capacity such as media (lol) question the timing of the information being released? That they choose or was told to release it the day of a protest?

Absolutely spot on. Until GP is half empty every week like the Emirates was in the run-up to Wenger finally getting the boot, no amount of song-singing or banner-waiving is going to compel a disliked, absentee billionaire to bow to the whims of disgruntled fans. The Kronke's acted once their pockets were being increasingly hit week after week, not because of bed sheets and chants.

Most who wont show are season ticket holders. The number of one off match goers who'd boycott would be absolutely minimal in terms of a financial hit.
The club went through chunks of the 90's with 20-25k in the ground.
The club makes its money of TV rights, advertising and to a lesser extent, season ticket sales. Then, way down the list is match goers who pay on the day.
This board have no shame. Putting up with a few empty seats around the ground wont phase them and will barely get a mention on TV.
What happened today worked, as shown by the clubs ridiculous actions.
Do it again. and again.
