The Everton Board Thread

We are just a point away from safety. A solitary point. One draw.

We simply cannot afford to go down and frankly I don’t think we will go down. If we do we will never be seen again.

Regarding the board: the fans have played into their hands of late. Ian Wright raised the alleged violent assault on Denise and then went on to sing Kenwright’s praises, despite the fact that when Kenwright first joined the board in 1989 we were were in the top 4 and had more league titles than Man Utd. And a better stadium than them, for that matter.

Ian Wright might as well have been reading from a prepared script by Bill himself. In fact, he probably was.

I can see things being stepped up this week by the board. Either Kenwright or Barrett-Baxendale in a full length, emotional interview on Sky that will ensure the sympathy lies with them as they explain they are doing all they can to satisfy a fanbase out of control.

Feel completely sick and done with the club. It just continues to go from bad to worse with seemingly no chance of anything improving. We’re going down. The manager is out of his depth but is still here. Most of the players are piss poor. The owner is absent, clearly dislikes the fans and won’t listen to them anymore. The board, the less said the better. They’ve waged war against us. We’re a circus, a joke, and this is meant to bring us joy.

I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling this way.

Feeling exactly the same. The way the board took control of the situation yesterday killed any hope I had. Genuinely thought we could finally put the spotlight on their abysmal handling of the last 20 plus years, but it's obvious now their mates in the media are going to ensure that won't happen.

Terrible manager, shocking squad of players and an even worse board yet it's the fans who are painted as culpable.

The board have 'won' the PR offensive.

Yesterday's statement + briefings have destroyed the reputation of Everton fans.

They've used the actions of a few dickheads to tarnish everyone who supports the club + delegitimise a peaceful protest.

The media's moral outrage + slow, painful slide into relegation is all we have to look forward to.

It's everyone for themselves as the board absolve themselves + put the blame firmly on Moshiri + the fans.

I’m afraid the fans played into their hands with the road blocks of players’ cars and other intimidation tactics against our own players and their families.

It made the claim that the directors’ lives were under threat seem credible to the rest of the media and the rest of the nation.

It gave the media an opportunity to portray us like stereotypical Scousers: aggressive, thuggish, entitled, violent, self-pitying.

We didn’t box clever.

I agree, esp re: national stereotypes.

But when you say 'we didn't box clever' you mean the few dickheads who chased the cars, not the whole fanbase?

Only thing now left is a complete boycotts of games home and away, and protest before every home match.

It seems by slandering the fans the board has told us they don’t want our support.

And with the performances neither do the team, but will there be enough empty seats to make a difference ?
