The Everton Board Thread

I think fans vote with their feet. A boycott of the arsenal game and fans doing a blackout of official club Comms would send a strong message.

I keep seeing people say "they already have your money so what's the point?". An empty stadium and public showing of the total breakdown in relationship between club and fans would surely force a change. That is very damaging to a brand.

Would never work mate.

Back in the day when there was a massive 'walk up' it might but given all the tickets are sold/demand for tickets, you'd never get a noticeable amount not going the game IMO.

It's counter productive in a relegation scrap too.

You will never get widespread support from match going fans for a boycott. It's not practical when we have over 30k season ticket holders who have paid good money, and they shouldn't be expected to not go either.

Not going to games is not in the Everton mindset. I agree that it would send the strongest possible message, but it's not something that others will get behind so I don't see any point even trying to encourage it.

Pre or post match protests are the only possible options, but as shown on Saturday, we need to take control of elements of our support who don't know how to behave. The people who thought it was intelligent to chase cars etc need to be made aware that their behaviour is not acceptable, it won't be tolerated, and they should stay away since they don't know how to be sensible.

Do we just go back to politely clapping the team then? We are not in a relegation scrap because of the fans. Anything we do will be called counter productive or toxic so we may as well just lie back and take it.

We have to accept our fate then.

Other than a statement confirming action, what do you expect them to say?

The time for empty, pacifying words has long gone and counter productive now. The last updates from CEO "progress on and off the field", Moshiri and the 'Everton Statement' only served to add significantly more fuel to the fire.
These people are supposed to be running a business … after the events of the weekend , another defeat and still no strikers I would expect some form of action today .. but maybe not . The only thing I’ve seen today are more links to our relegation rivals making more signings. At this stage I think I’ll check out of Everton for a few days !

Action > Words.

What would you like Everton as a board, or the clubs owner, to say today?

What you've just quoted was my response to this;

Surely today there has to be some official announcement . Even these inept fools can’t just keep burying their heads in the sand .

What official announcement would people want?

Unless there's action - sackings or signings, I don't want to hear a peep from them.

It’s too depressing, like watching a loved one on a path hell bent on self destruction.

Need to seriously stop giving a 5hit and just accept that the board don’t give a toss in being held accountable for the incredible mess that they have made and that the players are headed to a league more befitting of their talents.

Shove the new stadium up your arse.

The only way out if this is an imminent takeover, its not guaranteed to save us from championship football, but it will get rid of despicable arseholes running the club.

Sorry I did not see that post .. was just having my own rant … agree if nothing good to say stay quiet and that’s all that will happen

A picket line at each gate would make a HUGE story for the press, and would get across the 'us vs them' (working class vs board) theme. Not many in the country would speak up against a picket line. Yes, some would laugh, but not so many as are laughing right now!
