The Everton Board Thread

say what you want about liverpool fans but no way would they be accepting a board like this

something must be done

It comes from years of the delusional shots from our fans of "kopite behaviour".

Do you know what isn't kopite behaviour - accepting below average performance and no trophies for 27 flipping years.

All those who told us to be patient and get behind Kenwright or the club, you were wrong and it has hurt the club.

Just looking at the transfers we have made since Brands has come in! I've tried to separate them too who was at the forefront of that deal

Brands
Mina
Digne
Zouma (loan)
Andre Gomes
Kean
Gbmanin
Doucoure
King (loan)
Kenwright
Delph
Godfrey
Moshiri/Joorabchian
Bernard
Iwobi
Sidibe (loan)
Ancelotti
James
Allan
Silva
Richarlison
Benitez
Gray
Townsend
Rondon

Now that's just speculation obviously, but it seems the last 3 seasons the person who ticks the deals off has preferred to listen to outside sources instead of his Director of Football. It seems he only really had free reign the first summer with Silva (and that's if I'm right about who pushed for which player)

Worth remembering at the inception of the premier league Everton had 9 league titles and Manchester United had 7. One club was absolutely prepared for the huge change that the premier league would bring, one was doing what it’s always done since John Moores left… hoped for the best. People may blame Peter Johnson, remember Bill Kenwright was on the board of that regime too. We have been chronically mismanaged for 30 years and it’s coming home to roost now. Blue Bill has overseen 30 years of decline were we have fallen from the pinnacle of English football into an also ran, a nothing club. He thought he’d hit e jackpot with moshiri, a man stupid enough to buy Everton and still let him keep his train set. There is no Moyes to bail us out now, no more money to throw at the problem. I hate this board, I hate our players and I hate everything about this club right now. This isn’t the Everton I’ve loved all my life.

"Is it only the players?"

I think it's fair comment. Some aspects like set pieces have gone backwards since Ancelotti. This is down to what goes on in
FF. The repetitive nature of the mistakes in recent years (not just this season) makes the players look like they're recruited from the Dog & Duck as they say. Is it the coaching or is it the manager? We don't seem to know what Brands does. But that's another story. He can jump ship if he wants.

The question the club and the board needs to answer is how in the last 5 years since Moshiri came, since we disposed of Martinez, have we spend half a billion, we've not gone forward in fact we've gone backwards. Too simple to say we brought Koeman in then it went wrong so he was sacked. The club is a business and any business floundering like that needs a huge change top down. What do they call it root and branch?

Just to add it's not all about the last 5 years, the last 30 years the club have been floundering. It's more pertinent now
because of the last 5 years, and we seem to be going down faster than a lead balloon right now.

I think we need two new full backs, a new centre back. A new centre mid. A top class winger and a new striker and we will be well on the way

Looking likely that we're going to need to spend in January to stay competitive, seeing as the hardest FFP punishment is being banned from Europe for two seasons - maybe not a bad idea to just take that on the chin given that we're well off attaining European competition in the near future.
