The Everton Board Thread

I don't like Jordan Peterson but it seems he was right about the lying mantra, "always tell the truth and if you can't, don't lie" seems like EFC have truly been caught in their own web of deceit

We are absolutely f"$ked as a club at the moment. The board of directors have sunk so low there can be absolutely no turning back from this. How they have not resigned en-masse already is absolutely beyond me. Failing at your job is one thing which we can all agree they have all done since moshiri came in but to then plant stories to deflect from their failings and lay blame on the fans is despicable. Surely even the most 'passive' of Everton fans can now see the dirty tactics the board are using to try and cling onto power.

With each passing day we sink further and further into the abyss, what will it take to get these cretins out from our club. 145 years of history and these are the darkest days i can ever remember.

This is your legacy Kenwright, you will be seen in the future as the parasite you are, destabilizing the club and holding it hostage for your own ego. You say you're a fan, your not, you are just a narcissist.

I would honestly take Championship football for a few seasons if it meant the whole board and owner would go and we have a complete reset. They should have all gone at the end of last season after failing so miserably, yet here they are still clinging on with no sign of them wavering to demand.

Remember this from yesterday...

Less than 24 hours later the two main publications / journalists that ran with the specific incidents are now providing, simultaneously, further details relating to specific historical incidents.

The club said "Everton’s game with Southampton was made a high risk fixture following consultation with Merseyside Police."

Yet Merseyside Police have said that no consultation had taken place and they didn't advise the board not to go the game.

All this happened without anyone picking it up on camera, or the CCTV? ??
I said exactly that the other day when this all started. In what world are they living that they expect us to believe that in 2023, in a stadium full of people with cellphone cameras in their hands and CCTV cameras all around, that not a single second of video has surfaced nor - as far as I can tell - has a single witness come forward to corroborate the story in any way at all.

Utter, utter nonsense.

Come the happy day when we are shut of Kenwright and the rest of them, I'd love the new owners to bar the journalists who have facilitated Kenwright's vice like grip on the club at the very first press conference. "Would such and such, please make themselves known. Right thanks for that. Would you leave please and don't come back. Goodbye".

There’s also the possibility unofficial aides to their PR might have to start all over again in their wish for tickets and goodies should any new regime bring in whole new communications and fan engagement teams. Look into the leaked emails from 2011 ago for example who their go to people are

The club now appear to have unearthed an account that the incident (friendly, matey hug or a full on vicious headlock has not been clarified?) occurred at a previous unspecified home game, which is odd, but most believe to be the Brighton game. If this matter was dealt with 'internally' surely the identity of the alleged offender is known; has he been banned from the ground? Has he been refused further access to the directors' box? If not, then is he a corporate client (or a mate) and the club have had one eye on the income accrued from the corporate client and prefer the money to discipline decisions. It begs the question, was the same individual in attendance at the Southampton game, or not? Furthermore, if in the environs of the directors box the individual will more likely be part of the management 'in crowd' and with no connection to any subsequent planned peaceful protest in the ground for the Southampton match. This still needs clarification to clear that matter up.

The issue of alleged emails should be easy for the recipients to pursue and if in breach of the criminal law dealt with by prosecution.

These matters can not be just forgotten, they are serious allegations which besmirch the reputation of the club and fanbase. They should should have been reported as soon as possible and acted upon proactively. That said, if it's all been blown out of proportion and distorted, it is a shocking route to take. A series of poor decisions seem to have created a total shambles being played out on social media, it's like a pantomine.

As the famous Shaun of the Dead quite goes;

Let's go to the Winslow, have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over
