When there are not many options available, anything positive we can do no matter how small it seems is worth it. A petition written and submitted by the Everton shareholders association who have been around for about 85 years and containing a significant signature count on as it seems to be heading towards will carry some weight no matter how much they choose to ignore it.

We need to keep doing as much as we can do no matter how insignificant it might seem. Every positive action adds up and brings a tipping point closer.

I was merely pointing out that the dismissal of FL would almost certainly mean his entire coaching staff and paying off their contracts would not be cheap.
And the hiring of a new coach/manager and his/her coaching staff would be another fair old chunk of money.

I was merely pointing out that the dismissal of FL would almost certainly mean his entire coaching staff and paying off their contracts would not be cheap.
And the hiring of a new coach/manager and his/her coaching staff would be another fair old chunk of money.

I think we have different ideas on what a fair old chunk of money is.

I reckon the whole hiring and firing process could be done with a cost of less than 10million, this season.

You guessed at £100k a week and said he's got 18 months left - that's approx £7.8m just to dismiss FL.
That's a big chunk of the £10m you suggest would be enough for getting shut of a manager and his staff and bringing in another, who's packages would need to be added to the budget for this years accounts.

Either way you look at it, it's a costly exercise again... after so many previous costly exercises.

No I didn't, I gave an estimate figure for the cost of sacking him, his team then hiring a new manager and their new team, all of it together (£40-50m) Also Frank and his team are on a lot more than you and others seem to think, Ashley Cole has been reported to be on a huge wage for example. We will see, If we could afford to sack we would have done so imo so I would say that I'm correct in my view (even if my figures are a bit off)

We only have to pay him till August, he will find a new job by then.

So 2million to sack him, another 2m to replace him, lets say another 2m for staff, leaves us 4million to hire good lawyers.
