The Everton Board Thread

Yes because the history of Everton only began when Moshiri bought the club. That is like saying that football didn't exist before the inception of the premier league.

You can't airbrush from history the damage your Bill did before he sold the club.
Are we in a better place now under Moshiri then we had been under Kenwright?

Mike Ashley or Venkys could do that why not let them come on board ?

Dropping our kecks and spreading the cheeks just for anyone on the hopes that Kenwright may leave when Moshiri remains majority owner still is short sighted.

If you want real change then a full takeover has to happen and it has to be the right owner.
It will when the stadium is finished.

In the meantime the board as it is constituted now have to go. The can't even attend their own ground due to the hostility it would cause. All the signs are that the penny has dropped with Moshiri and he will be forced to act soon, hence the investment opportunity he has offered. If he doesn't act the stadium doesn't get finished and we are stuck in limbo indefinitely.

Moshiri wants to sell so this has to be done in stages - board out first, then the owner out.

Yeah I know this, Grantchester was one who backed PJ, I remember that too.
Thing is I agree he just wanted to own us, the same as he doesn't now want to leave, but anyone could of challenged him at anytime, but after the mess PJ made nobody was interested, apart from Kenwright, if he hadn't of done so were would we be now? Floating around with Sheffield Wednesday maybe.
Grantchester hates Kenwright and that’s why he’d never put money in while he was there.

Says a lot I think.

Ok and during his 18 year tenure he has had interested buyers who did have the funds to make us competitive, but he declined on the basis that he wanted ‘investment’ but not a sale.
But he sold? He did sell, now we need Moshiri to do the same, you have your time, Bill had us and it was stable, Moshiri has had his and its been a disaster and rapid decline

I think he said something along the lines of ‘you’ll never find a better salesman for Everton Football Club” yet despite club after club being sold and bought in the PL, this self appointed supreme salesman and Evertonian could not find anyone interested - how unusual! Oh and the Sheff Wed point is a retrospective application of the ‘careful what you wish for’
Carful what you wish for is right, we wished for Kenwright to sell, we thought the grass would be greener with a new owner, it wasn't, the roots died and now its black

flimsy argument. Even when he does eventually decide to sell up, at which point his hand was forced by the way due to PGs issues, he sells to the wrong buyer….doesn’t
As you say yourself, forced by PG issues, the real back seat driver and the reason the city owners had no chance, becuase he didn't want us to sell.
say much for his judgment either. History will judge him to be an unmitigated disaster for a once proud football giant.
History will judge him as the man who saved us from Peter Johnson and kept us ever present in the PL, meanwhile Man City, West Ham, Newcastle, Blackburn, Leeds, Sunderland, Aston Villa....etc couldn't

History will remeber him as our most unsucesful chairman ever and Probaly the most hated even Johnson never got it this bad you ask any blue in 20 years what they think of kenwright and 95 per cent will say how bad he was, you know it aswell no matter how much you try and say otherwise

No social media in Johnsons days, and relegation fights... bit like Moshiri in that respect

This just occurred to me, is blag-time-bill hanging on cos if he sells he loses his board seats? No new owner will want his gyrating about causing a commotion and he sure as sugar aint sitting in the lower Gwladys street on match days either.

'boys-pen bill - from blags to riches' the musical.
