She has been a really good employee over the last decade compared to some others.
It's just a shame she has been dragged into whatever has gone on behind the scenes, at some point soon hopefully she finds a new job away from Everton, best all around that.
Arguably she has been a good employee/leader of EITC but she has been a hopeless CEO of Everton Football Club based on any objective measure of what a CEOs role is as the driver of a circa £200m turnover company.
if the CEO role had been subjected to a proper(most businesses would call it normal) recruitment process she would not have made the “long list” of the headhunter conducting the search as she is hopelessly unsuited to the role.
DBB is in position as CEO of EFC due to the patronage of others and not because she is the best qualified candidate for the role…there are literally 100s of people, who also happen to be Evertonians, who are better qualified to do her job.

That’s before we get into her role in headlock gate…

The way I see it, is if you’re really good at what you do, you should be able to significantly improve performance in some or most areas. For example our commercial performance is at a fairly low bar so that should e be too difficult to improve) but we have seen very little evidence of this.

Additionally if you are good at what you do, it gets around the industry you work in or associated industries and you become head hunted - so either DBB is not particularly good at her current role, or she is but is being hamstrung by BK and FM. Either way it will show in terms of 1) general club performance not improving or 2) she is not being head hunted.

I think the fact that she is still at the club which we would all consider to be under performing indicates she is not effective at her job, and this is showing in its results. She strikes me as being an intellectual - an academic who civilly minded and is not really cut out for the commercial cut and thrust of PL football leadership. But let’s get this right, ALL three of DBB, BK and FM need to go.

On the subject of DBB, let's forget the headlock stuff for a second and be super objective:

If DBB was the CEO of a publicly listed company, she would have been removed by a shareholders revolt a long long time ago.

Forget she runs a football club for a second and think about Everton as a business; since she became CEO in 2018, the business hasn't just stagnated, it has regressed massively in almost every regard: Financially. Competitively. Reputationally. Not only that, but we have fallen even further behind our peers on all fronts.

Her tenure as CEO is close to culminating with Everton being relegated, with the very real prospect of administration if we aren't able to quickly return to the top-flight again. That is indefensible.

She may well be a lovely person, but sadly she is quite clearly staggeringly incompetent too.

Agree with 95% of that. However, she's not a 'lovely person'. She's a serial self publicist that used Everton club time and money to self publicise herself at our expense.

Its the way of society now - too many Internet experts who think they know how to run multi million pound industries all whilst they work at the Co-op stacking shelves for a living 🤷‍♂️

Anyone who has a true understanding of whats going on at the club appreciates that DBB has had no hand to play in our decline since the 1980's.

She's also a nice lady who loves the club.

"No hand to play" though according to you

I actually agree with you - I was just trying to at least pretend that she had one redeemable quality.
