The Everton Board Thread

I genuinely dont understand how the league can sign off on our accounts then appoint someone to look into an alleged breach?
Could it be the case that other clubs thought we weren't compliant and made formal complaints so the process is the PL have to then refer to an independent commission to remove any potential bias they may have had in signing the accounts off.

That could mean the PL did sign off our accounts and we were working with them however processes are in place for clubs to request independent reviews if they feel proper scrutiny has not occured.

Its also about how ample funds have been woefully allocated and squandered through glaringly obvious financial ineptitude ya ignoramus
Not really, we could of spent the money well, it's not about that, it's what we have spent and where it has come from.
It's come from Usmanov in an unfair way, not sure how Farhad thought he would get away with this.

And Leeds (before they stayed up and totally forgot about it)
Last year, rivals Leeds and Burnley wrote to the Premier League asking for Everton's accounts to be independently investigated, although they later dropped their threat of legal action.

The two clubs had been advised Everton complied with profit and sustainability rules after meeting with the Premier League.

In its statement on Friday, the Premier League said the commission will be independent of the league and its clubs, adding that proceedings will be "confidential and heard in private".

There have been widespread protests against Moshiri and the Everton board by fans this season.

It's providing the money that is the problem, see today's news
Yes, you're exactly right.

It's providing money from sources outside of the owner that's the problem.

That would fall under the Director of Finance, who falls under the CEO, who falls under the Chairman.

The buck stops with him. This situation has developed under his stewardship.

The Chairman is responsible for leading the Board and focusing it on strategic matters, overseeing the Group's business and setting high governance standards. He plays a pivotal role in fostering the effectiveness of the Board and individual Directors, both inside and outside the board room.

Doesn't sound like he's succeeded in overseeing the business or seeing high governance standards does it?

Positive thinking.

Best case is that they say we didn't breach but we're nobheads so slap a fine
