But there are individuals in the fanbase and involved in fan media that have been getting late night calls and challenges from individuals at the club
If they post something or say something critical of the board or the running of the club or similar
Professional Media people similarly
This is not healthy but has been happening.
The fact the club board and the lackeys think they can control fans and shareholders like this speaks volumes. How unhealthy the culture at the club is
Dave Kelly revealed a few years ago the club had him blacklisted and vindictive board members apparently were/did get private investigators involved to try and get dirt on him. Speaks volumes.
It's the only real conversation they've had with club officials besides that black mirror Moshiri "interview" when he promised us a striker.
But none of this is new news. They've been doing it for years and anyone with half a brain cell could see how they've tried to manipulate people/media/fans/insert anyone who has anything bad to say about them.
The club board don't "think" they control media, fan forums selected by them etc, the club board "do" control those things, or they "did" up until Southampton at home.
That was the game changer, that was the one that turned the tide for the first time in 25+ years.
Still a very long way to go before they're cut completely away from the club.

I know nothing at all about this, and am bracing myself for some hammer for what I'm about to say, but depending on the nature and mood of these calls, are they necessarily a bad thing ? If someone at the club cares enough about fan opinion to discuss their views, and provide additional info, then isn't that good interaction?
As I said, I have no knowledge of the tone and content of the calls, but just thought I'd put forward an alternative view.

I have an idea who one of the individuals doing the calling is or keeping tabs on what gets said but I’d rather not say in case I’m way off the mark, it would be unfair on the individual

Are they on Australian time to something,,,,,,why are they always ‘late night’ calls? It feels like a horror movie and I’m just imagining that voice off the call in Scream ‘Hey Keiran, do you like to smack talk about Everton’s alleged breaches?’ 
I suspect you'll be correct. Pre-Southampton, a certain person was making calls the night before and early morning rallying the troops and briefing the press.
There is a chronic issue at the very top of our club, and this culture and dysfunctionality seeps downwards.
