We will see loads of players from their other clubs, and plenty of ours go to them.

Good, im all in for this.

If use good scouting and place players in right contries to develop and move around, could be great.
Yeah, the multi club model is the way the game is going and on the whole I think it would be good to be part of a network for the reasons you give. The partnership with Vasco would be particularly interesting, other clubs are successfully bringing in young Brazilians and we’ve not been doing the same so this might get us a foothold. We need to get the next Richarlison or Joao Pedro at source rather than them going to Watford then going for 30m a couple of years later.

Plus, with their investments in Berlin and Liege we’d have first dibs on Jonjoe Kenny AND Isaac Price.

You’re right, and can add Berlin too. Under performing clubs in big markets. I’ve not gone deep on them but 777 seem to have a clear vision of what they’re doing and possibly are a more appealing option than MSP. I’m taking that Italian rumour with a pinch of salt but hopefully they’re at least at the table.

I guess my question would be, why does an Italian market have a care for what Everton are doing?

Same applies why we didn’t know of their ownership of Genoa or Standard, for example.

Sides with huge potential, especially if you include Hertha.

All for someone realising the potential of Everton. Raising our commercial platform would be massive.

The biggest benefit of the multi club model is probably just the player trading, loans etc but there is also a potential pooling of expertise / scouting etc.

But in terms of markets, they do seem to have targeted big city clubs with potentially big markets in Paris / Berlin / Genoa / Seville with large existing or potential fanbases. The advantage of that I guess is that if you are a family of clubs you maybe look out more for those other clubs in that family, so there is a possibility to grow each clubs fanbases with fans of the other clubs.

Maybe not a huge deal but if you have fans of all those clubs making Everton their English club, stick the jersey in their club shops etc (and vice versa) it can only help each club grow a bit.

Beware of random foreign journos bearing scoops.

I can just see it now….the presser……’We at 777 are delighted at taking over a fine footballing institution. We intend on restoring this once great club to its former glory and we can’t wait to move into our new home in just over a year’s time. Heading up our investment and overseeing the day to day running of the club…..let us introduce to you, our new dynamic CEO, Mr Ken WrightBill’! Bill enters stage left with Peter Reid type jet black hair dye, a moustache and wearing a corset.

Interesting its not come from any more respected sources, as yet.

Italy is very well known for rumours and shocking footy stories, so you never know.

Hang on here. 777 partners are a private equity firm that purchases stakes in struggling companies, including sports enterprises. If you're looking for significant player transfer investment in a bid to challenge the top clubs then forget it. They will be looking to stabilise the club, through foreign youth player investment and increased commercial enterprises, while the stadium is built. They will then look to sell the club at a tidy profit when the time is right for them. They will have absolutely no love for our club and will see us as a project to make money from.

The above will sound attractive to many, understandably, right now but just understand in the grand scheme of billionaire football ownership these people are small fry. They certainly won't be looking to take on the big boys and bring back the school of science. Don't get me wrong this may be a good thing for us for the short term right now but be careful what you wish for as what you will really be seeing is years of consolidation and watching your beloved blues challenge to get into the top half, whoopee! Proper small time.

Chairman Bill ruined the best chance we had when he turned down the City fellas.

Just accept that we are now a nothing club and enjoy the wins when they come.

Everton have been small time for 30 years now, we just havent realised cos we are all stuck in the 80s and most still consider Man City smaller than us.

Personally, from a non-sentimental aspect.

I see Everton and there’s huge potential to be unlocked. History, Fanbase, English.

I see Genoa, Liege, Hertha and they’re huge catchments. Hertha get about 50,000 average a game, Genoa is a city which breaths football… we’ve all seen how mad Liege is.

There’s no doubt they’ll want to make money, that’s why they’re business men, and multimillionaires, but hopefully there’s substance and hopefully they know what they’re doing.

Personally, I liked the idea of MSP better but that’s a good portfolio 777 have there and I’d openly welcome being part of it.
