The Everton Board Thread

Farhad really confuses me, he suppose to be a very very clever fella yet fails to see what’s wrong at Everton… The board is clearly the problem. From taking an age to appoint the wrong manager, to get the PERFECT manager then letting him walk for FREE. To appointing ex Everton players instead of the best and most qualified people for the job, to redesigning the stadium 3 times and making it take an extra 2 years for no reason

There is so much wrong with Everton. The entire club has been run by a bunch of amateurs. Look at the Brighton line-up and compare how much it costs against the Everton line-up. Look at the football Brighton play and compare it to how Everton play. It is not about capital, but about competence.

Brighton has a clear concept, and brings in players and coaches who fit this. Coaches who represent what Brighton will identify with, and players who suit this way of playing football. This is intellectually and economically far more rational.

The hiring of Lampard is just one small parenthesis in a long line of mistakes that Everton have made over the years. They obviously should have gotten rid of him before the WC, but I think the owners have understood that with every decision they make, the more wrong it gets. If this club does not get any competent new decision-makers, then it is on its way down to the championship. It's just a matter of when.
The thing is, I know the Brighton line up didn’t cost much yesterday and they made money this summer, previous 5yrs they had a debt on spending of roughly 200mil while finishing bottom 6 every season, potter took over after they finshed 17th in 18/19. They then finished 15th and then 16th. Played nice football but couldn’t defend to save their lives,
We put 5 past them 2 ,Season ago. Potter wound have been sacked at Everton had that happened here.

This is going to take a long time to sort and won’t change while this owner and board are in place, they will sack frank and probably hire dyche a total different philosophy,
He gets sacked in 12 months and we probably go down another different route,
With a manager who doesn’t suit the current players.

Until we get competent business people and football people running the club nothing will change. Go and get the best football people,
The best scouts, the best DOF the best Academy director we can. I think the fans would be happy to for a few more years of pain, if the right people are in place.

We have people who think they know about football and players, an owner who thinks he’s a scout and would rather listen to his agent mate than football people he actually hires

Starting to think relegation is the only thing that's going to get rid of them.
Me too. Do we actually take the hit to potentially get rid of these people now, instead another 3/5/8 yrs of the same rubbish.
Yes financially it won’t be great, but then get rid of every player who’s on high wages and the ones who we can make money on. And then rebuild slowly.

I still think the ground would finish,
They’re so far down the line now to stop
