Pleased for Martinez bit not for Whelan, who thinks that Everton are not a big enough club for him.

He can't achieve anything more at Wigan after that so the timing is right for him to depart.

Hopefully he will come here and bring McCarthy with him.

He's a decent kind of fun announcer for the sports he's covered all his life like college basketball, NFL and college football. However because he gets excited during matches and yells alot fox just decided that yes screw getting Ian Darke, Martin Tyler etal like ESPN did for the WC, we are going to give you Gus, who never called a footie match up until 5 months ago and still doesn't even know all the rules of footie at the WC in 2018. Also instead of training him with say minor matches/MLS so he can improve we'll just stick him in all the big c-league matches, FA cup finals, C-league finals so you can suffer while he gets up to speed (assuming he ever will).
