I know of very few people who boycotted the World Cup, and those that did were not all 'Western' for what it's worth.
I respect their decision to boycott, but they missed an absolute treat. Some terrific games of football.
I was genuinely sceptical that Qatar would be able to pull it off but they did. That doesn't mean I advocate for single city tournaments in the future, it's takes away a lot of the magic of attending an international tournament. I don't want to go to different areas to celebrate with Argentinians before lunch and Moroccans before sunset.
A mate of mine attended the entire thing with a 'tournament ticket' which followed a team for each group game and whoever beat them after being knocked out. He chose Holland because he feared Eng-ur-land crusader bellends would leave a sour taste. He has had a great time and flew back yesterday. Spent his month in a combo of the portacabins in Qatar or flying back and forth from Dubai if a few days between games made it worthwhile.
As an observation on you and how you live..... Why don't you just watch the footy rather than constantly scan reddit (a rabbit warren of oddballs), Twitter and obscure news sources for validation of your own beliefs? Form an opinion and argue its merits without resorting to Google or whatever to defend it. (if needed.)
You need more chill. Go have a wank or something.
