Totally agree mate , we have waited for today for a long time, sure we don't really know what the new owners will be like but one thing is for sure nobody will be employed at the club purely because they were ex players or part of the Kenwright click.
People thinking that these new owners are just going to be throwing money at the Club ie 50m players are mistaken it hopefully will be a strategy of building the club up again from the roots and getting us back in contention to win things.
Today has been a good day and though as am nearly 70 now I doubt I will see the good times but I would like to think see all our young supporters have a future where Everton can be great again god knows they deserve it.
Anyway I will be in the main stand on Saturday feeling alot more positive about the future.

I'll be 72 before the year's out and expect/hope to be around for another 20 years. My mum is still around at 96 so the genes are good. I certainly hope that I will see the good times return. For starters I'll take comfortable mid-table for a couple of years and a game-attendance or two at our new home.

Haha
So your line of work , what you do for living defines your ability to have a poor opinion of a billionaire?
They didn’t create their own wealth they inherited it , not much to look up to there .
They have shown themselves to be able to manage their wealth and buy and invest in things that amuse or entertain them.
Wouldn’t we all like that freedom .
If only our forbears had made us wealthy .
Personally I look up to people who have overcome obstacles to success, or used their knowledge and skill for the benefit of all .
Let’s see how this lot manage us before we start swooning over them just because they are wealthy.

Look at what Friedkin inherited when his father stepped down, looks at what it's become now.

He's proven to be a brilliant entrepreneur in his own right.

He also is hugely into conservation both in the USA and Tanzania.

But, yeah continue being weirdly negative on him

I think I read somewhere that when a company enters into an exclusivity agreement they take on the funding for that period. I might have dreamt it though!!
That doesn’t seem like really something required. Would seriously doubt it. I know the debt was due and needed to be cleared to purchase the business, but I wouldn’t be making that payment myself before I knew what I was getting into first.

If this can be settled before the January transfer window, with time to reconfigure the debt, we could release significant FFP headway because we won’t be paying millions back in interest on loans.

Some serious bed-wetting on this thread. Everton Football Club really has turned everyone miserable.

The club is in a mess with ridiculous debt & a brand new stadium being built. No potential owner was coming into this “perfect”.

The fact he’s apparently clearing debt is absolutely massive, especially them ghouls at RMF who are another legacy of Kenwright we can do without.

If remoderninsing Roma & winning a European trophy is “okay” then sign me up. I was just hoping for them to sort the finances, slowly sort the squad out & one or two boring mid table finishes short term.

Around a £1m a week I read, be absolutely huge to get rid of it and with the stadium next season bringing in an extra £70m a year that’s well over £100m a year to grow the club.

It would be great if we can put together a strong run of form that gets us to 25-odd points by mid-January, but can't see that. Summer is the time to rebuild, but I guess we'll add a few players to the squad in January if we're deep in the relegation mix, just they won't be the calibre of player that may be available a few months down the line and we'll be stuck with them for four years, like Mykolenko.

Dyche will always be a stumbling block to signing good players
