It was nice to spend an evening in the pub without ridicule and people saying that we are starting to get back again….
Bit worrying that the path they are on with Roma is a bit similar to that of Moshiri at Everton. Big ambition, big outlay and big spending without big improvement.

But let's just enjoy the moment for now and hope that it represents a chance to have a big clear out of the dead wood.

They need to quickly decide what they are doing with Dyche and more importantly Thelwell.

My hope is they get a good board who outline a clear direction and employ good people to deliver it. The positives are the stadium on the horizon and we are now relatively debt free.

Myers briefed.

Basic take home - we won’t hear from them until the regulatory process is complete.

The main thing I took away from reading that was the re-emphasis that Moshiri took a bigger personal hit for the good of the club.

We might get a bit more of this in the next few weeks in an attempt to give Moshiri some rehabilitation and craft a legacy of sorts.

I don't have an issue with it and would expect pickings after this will be quite slim for Alan.

They might as well make hay now.

100% mate, Moshiri defo took a hit, as others have pointed out though - it might have been the need to close and close fast that won the day though.

When you think about it all going well TFG will at the earliest have their fat under the table in late Nov and Dec.

My understanding the club had enough cash flow to see us until Jan and their is a another cash call coming then.

So he actually needed out and fast.

Moshiri would no doubt come out of this with a whole lot more credit and sympathy if he hadn't made a complete mess of the takeover process. I appreciate some of that wasn't exactly his fault i.e. R&M vetoing the MSP takover, but that being said he maybe shouldn't have jumped into bed with them in the first place (although can likely blame good old Bill for that).

Had he sold up to credible new owners sooner, rather than persisting with 777 and all the mess that has ultimately caused, then he might have a bit more credit in the bank for ultimately helping fund the new stadium. Not much more though because his biggest mistake was not firing Bill into space on day one and allowing the club to be run like a circus for pretty much all of his tenure! He's only got himself to blame for having spunked a fortune up the wall with little to show for it.

Hopefully we can all look forward to a more positive future under the Friedkins at Bramley Moore.

Yeah for all his short comings, the Stadium will be his Legacy. He gets credit for how he's managed to get it built and just about keeping us afloat.

The stadium, yes he's done well there but that is totally wiped out by the fact he has totally wasted half a billion pounds of cash designated to improve the team and is a massive part of why we are in this position of struggling to keep afloat still.
His account with us is heavily in negative territory.

Could somebody please simply this takeover for me.
When is it likely to be completed?
When can the new owner commence investment in the club?
The saga has completely lost me in terms of the who, where and why for of the process.
I think we will all need a holiday when it's all done and dusted.
I hope they've factored that into their sums. 🙂

- December worst case
- January best case
- Regulatory approval stage
- No holidays for you

I don't think the players we signed were his own personal shortlist, mate.

The deal is agreed subject to league and regulatory approval. So very much advanced at this stage.

The rumours are it could take anywhere from 6 - 12 weeks for that process to take place. December is probably the most likely time frame for completion. I imagine the league will want it to decided before the Christmas holidays
