The stuff they allow in the olympics these days.

I half expect to see scrabble in there.

I think there's a natural division between premier Olympic events like track and field and swimming and boxing, then the other flaky stuff.

By the way: the Yank 4x100 relay team drop the baton and then cry their arses off and the Olympic Committee allow them back in.

Track and swimming are by far the best events, although it is nice to watch some things I wouldn't usually see or watch..

Didn't know you were allowed to bump people in relays. News to me

Felix ran into the back of the Brazilian runner and the baton fell to the ground.

Laughing at the way the authorities are now allowing the US team to run a solo race to beat the slowest qualifying time to get in the final. I wonder if they'd do that for another team?

I'm sure they would and the Brazilian runner stepped on the lane line which is illegal. I'd be saying the same if the Brazilian runner went the other way and infringed on the French lane on the other side

It was just a typical argy bargy relay changeover. Felix should have seen the situation and swapped the baton over to her other hand.

They are extremely fortunate to have another chance. As said, if Azerbaijan had a relay team and dropped the baton they'd be laughed out of town if they demanded back in the event.

I have no idea how that could be accurately measured. But apparently the Velodrome in London is booked up weeks in advance. Same with the swimming pool.

A small gym near me has dozens and dozens of young kids in it every time I deliver to it. (Yeah, school holidays I know), but the place has produced Olympic gymnasts, and Commonwealth gold medalists. Just an industrial unit on a non descript trading estate.

The improvement since the Atlanta debacle is astonishing.
£40 an hour to have a go at the velodrome. Proper grass roots, that.

I'm just not convinced that 2012 has had a wholesale impact on sport in this country.
