I don't think it's physically possible for him to start and accelerate like a Gatlin does, due to his long legs. But that's also the reason why his top speed is better than anyone else's.

Of course he's worked hard on his start. He probably works on it just as hard as the rest on a daily basis. It's just physically impossible for a man of his height to accelerate at the same rate as Gatlin and co. or have the same cadence.
