[TX Bill]

Bill how does a Texan get to support Everton, not a trick question, I just wondered. I know a few lads from Texas, utter nutters.

My daughter likes NFL, Arizona Cardinals, not sure why them but that's her team.

I played football with an guy from Liverpool here in Houston who was a big Evertonian and he introduced me to the club. They had Joe Max Moore playing for them so I thought I'd start watching. Then they hired Moyes, brought up Rooney, and I was hooked.

I didn't choose Everton.

Everton chose me.

finished this last week.decent book.enjoyed it.very easy reading,maybe a bit to easy reading but decent stop gap between books.have part 2 at home so crack into that in a couple of weeks.

Just finished this - book one of ten in the series.

Based around a Detecive Sergeant ( Logan Macrae ) in Aberdeen.

Superb read, very dark, but yet funny in places.

I'd go as far as to say that the author, Stuart Macbride is the Scottish Jo Nesbo.

I've read all of Stuart McBride. A very good writer I think. As you say, gruesome at times but mixed with humour.

I've put all of them on my reading list, I enjoyed his first that much.

His writing style is very similar to Jo Nesbo ( Harry Hole books ), which are superb.

I also like the way he brings Aberdeen to life, which is no mean feat !

crooked letter crooked letter by tom franklin brilliant book based in the American South and a tale of murder, revenge, racism and poverty

It is superb, gripping and unexpected.

They are about a different Detective - D\S Ash Henderson.

They sound as equally dark as the others

Catching up on the serial killers lol- although Paul Britton's work has largely been discredited by various sources. However it is a fascinating read.
