The GOT Book Club

Just finished this, book one of four.

Fictional journal of the survivor of a future Apocolypse, that may or may not include zombies.

Only 131 pages long, really easy read and captivating. Tailor made for a film.

Just ordered the other three.

found this to be a very good read.another example of western powers fighting there little wars in other countries albeit back in the cold war era.only way to beat guerillas is to fight a guerilla war like the germans in the devils guard.americans didn't learn any lessons from it anyway.

I'm about half way through The History of the Russian Revolution written by Trosky. Fascinating stuff, obviously it's written from his own personal perspective and is anything other then impartial but still an extremely interesting read all the same.

If you like Russia but want something a bit lighter, you could try the Inspector Pekkala series, which are detective novels set in the time of the Romanovs and Stalin.
Cheers mate;)you hardly know of any good books on the russian mafia that are non fiction books?seem to be rare around or else im just looking in the wrong place.someone on here gave me a list before but they were fiction books.:)

130-ish pages in the 0.5 and 600+ for book 1 - both at €0.99 - can't really go wrong. Thanks for the tip.

Cheers mate.always kind of had a interest in russia/soviet union so i will put that book on my list and should get around to it at some stage in the future
I'd not necessarily recommend starting out with Trotsky's work mate. As you suggested its not exactly a light read, there's better books available to start out with that are more impartial from a historical perspective.

No, only got a Sicilian Mafia one (Cosa Nostra by John Dickie).

Just had a laugh when I looked on the Kindle for Russian mafia, though. Apparently, Russian mafia 'Shades of Grey'-style adult romance is a 'big thing' - your secret is safe with me.
