She'll really like it, as it's got a real touching story to it, so it's not all blood and gore.
Apparently she's seen the movie already...
She's finally started reading again after me giving her grief about it for months.
If she likes Zombie books have a look at these books for her too :
The Scattered and the Dead. ( book 0.5 / book 1 / book 1.5 / book 2 )
4 x books written as journals by survivors of an apocalypse.
Very good read and again, they are thoughtful and reflective, rather than blood gore.

World war Z was a great book pity the film stunk worse than a rotting corpse
Oh I think she'll deffo be interested in that. She really enjoyed World War Z for the different perspectives.
Love the book, refused to watch the film after I seen the trailer with the Tsunami of fast zombies.
I read another great Zombie book, written by a Spanish fella.
The survivor just holed up in his gated compound until he got bored and then went out killing as a trophy hunter.
I'll see if I can find the title / author.

J L Bourne's books are the best on the market for the Zombie genre , pity he's a tit!
Try her on The Passage (there are two more in the series if she likes it). Not zombies, but similar scenario.
Bit of an end of the world apocalypse scenario thing? She's all about it.
She's in for a treat then.

They're excellent. The last one I read was when he was in S.America after the War cavorting with old Nazis, Eichman I think was one. Do you know if the series continues after this ?

That was A Quiet Flame, I think. He's done at least six since then and there's another coming out this year.
Of course the whole premise of the thing is absurd but instead of worrying about all the famous historical figures Bernie keeps running into, you have to just accept it as entertainment and wallow in it.
