Just finished this : True account by one of the survivors of the Uruguayan amateur rugby team that crashed in the Andes and their survival / rescue after seventy two days.
An incredibly book and if anything the author underplays the strength and courage of all the survivors.

Ham on Rye by Charles Bukowski. It's about childhood in prewar Los Angeles on the seamy side of town. Unremitting bullying and humiliation but there are laughs too.

very good isn't it.some dogged determination to survive.miracle in itself that they crossed that mountain at the end and actually found someone on the other side of it.
Excellent book.
What shone out was the incredible humility of the author.
He totally underplayed what they actually did.
Amazing story. I was in tears at the end.

Nearly completed this, Amazon product ASIN - not as amazing or tear inducing as it will have you believe, loads of common sense stuff, but easy to read and digest
