The GOT Book Club

Just finished Black Sabbath, Sympton of the Universe, by Mick Wall. Great book, very well researched and wrote by someone who knows the music biz well.
Only seen Sabbath once, in 89 at the Royal Court, when they venue was half empty!!

Just finished reading Geoff Dyer's The Missing of the Somme, his study of the memorialization of WWI. It was good and clearly indebted to Paul Fussell's landmark The Great War and Modern Memory, so I'll probably reread the Fussell book soon.

Also just finished MFK Fisher's curious WWII-era cookbook for hard times, How to Cook a Wolf. A hoot.

So about 3 weeks ago I read Space Team, the 1st book in a series, right up my street sense of humour wise, so I thought I would give a few more in the series a go

The Wrath of Vajazzle

Planet of the Japes

Am pleased to say that they are all up to the same standard as the 1st book in the series, so if you liked that one grab these. The only weak one in my opinion was the Return of the Dead Guy where I was getting really confused with storyline, but thankfully things got back on track with Planet of the Japes.

There are a number of other books in the series but I have had the Colour of Magic (1st book in Pratchetts Discworld series) sat on my Kindle for a while so I really need to get that read before I continue with more of the Space Team
