The Heatwave

Got back from my daughter's in Cheshire last night and seen drillbit Taylor has been putting a new roof on his shed next door. As I write this he's out there working on it. Talk about mad dogs and Englishman.

Cobra meetings and national emergency for one sunny day. Such a backwards little island. Mental

Three days of extreme heat.

It's dangerous for a lot of people. Enjoy it, if you want, most of us will, but it requires caution as we very rarely see temperatures like this.

some supreme goal-post moving here lol

who is this terrifying message for then?

It's talking about forecasting for 2050 and the prospect worsening weather, so I don't think it quite serves as the slam dunk you think it does.

Also, there's literally a link in that article saying "heatwaves are here to stay, time we adapted"

eh? i presented you with facts that contradicted the argument you attempted.

Remember, you implied 600 heat-related deaths this summer in Spain proved that the heat this year is a particular problem compared to previous years, then i countered with facts stating Spain had vastly more such deaths decades before. 6,600 deaths in just 15 days during the summer of 2003, for example.

I think you mean to say no facts will change your mind?
According to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), about 1600 people died in the UK because of heatwaves in 2021 and about 2500 in 2020

Thousands , all over social media. It’s like wild fire...
God knows what they'd make of the actual emergencies in Spain and France, with actual fire and smoke killing people.
A former conqueror of europe once referred to britain as 'a nation of shopkeepers', that needs updating to 'a nation of piers morgan wannabe sensationalists'.
