7 out of 10 of the UKs hottest days have been since 2003?
I honestly don't remember them, yet I still remember the winter of 1963

I got an apprenticeship as a brickie when i was 18, after giving it some thought i packed it in between the job interview and the starting date as i knew i wouldn't have been cut out for it so respect for you sir. Hard, tough job that.I'm a bricklayer, dreading this ?
Sounds just like the stereotype brit on holiday on the Med.Pub beer garden soon as pub opens. Sunburnt, moody and aggro, but oddly prone to singing, by 2pm. The British Way.
So very true but it's only a problem because the UK media says so.Mad tings. Most Brits spent the last two years whingeing that their liberties were being infringed because they couldn’t jet out to the Med to experience weather in excess of what we’re about to get for 48 hours. Now it’s literally coming to them, suddenly the weather is a massive problem. ?
all that is missing is a kebab on the way home and a hand job in a bus shelter for a Great British Summer's Day Out.Pub beer garden soon as pub opens. Sunburnt, moody and aggro, but oddly prone to singing, by 2pm. The British Way.
YES!!!! ??Sounds just like the stereotype brit on holiday on the Med.
Beautiful British traditions guvall that is missing is a kebab on the way home and a hand job in a bus shelter for a Great British Summer's Day Out.
Nah, if you've ever been in 38C in this country you feel utterly horrendous. The humidity is far greater here than most traditionally hot European countries. It's a very different feel.Too many people whinging about it. You've all been in that heat on holidays and never moaned.
I’m in! When and where are we meeting? ?all that is missing is a kebab on the way home and a hand job in a bus shelter for a Great British Summer's Day Out.

Working on site in London in 35-40C degrees was horrific and something I never want to experience again, but for some it's daily. On average it's a lot cooler up North than down South. It can easily be 7C hotter in London than Liverpool on a summer's day.
I feel for people who may get stuck in traffic jams this summer without air con over the coming days. In my opinion air con in a car is an essential feature in this country now.
Imagine being on level 22 of a fully glazed building facade when the inside temperature is about 50C, and you've got to fit a bath or build a stud wall. No ventilation as the windows don't actually open, and there's no air con yet becasue it hasn't been installed, so you've got to rely on the odd fan here and there.Oh trust me, I know heat and humidity, I’ve been to Vietnam. Thankfully in this country I am protected at work by a risk assessment.
