The impending forward crisis

I think if we start to chase the game or aren't playing the best in the league, I think Muapay would come on for Onana/Doucoure and we'd switch to more of a 4-4-2...

... but I can't see him putting Simms (at the moment) on when you're trying to maintain a 1-0 win - this may well change as his stature improves with game time in less fraught scenarios.

I refuse to believe there's nothing there in the free transfer market that couldn't do a job for half a game up front. It has to have been a decision by the club to just refuse to spend one single penny more in that transfer window just gone.

We need someone who knows how to be a target man from outside the club IMO to come in and give a bit of a shift in a few games, even if they dont start games.
Get big Connor Wickham in. I am amazed to find out he is only 29, he seems to have been playing for 30 years.

Artem Dzyuba could add some harmony to the changing room...

Jo and Oumar dream team perhaps?

I would ban anybody who suggested Simms.

We would be better off sticking Myko up top.

Something doesn't add up with his lack of game time here. We're been in a crisis up front for 12+ months and he has gained experience in the SPL and Champonship, micked a few goals in each setting but is seen as a pariah here.

I mean, itls not like he has to go in there and guarantee us goals, because Calvert-Lewin doesn't do that now, nor Maupay. It's a low bar for him to step into and I'm baffled he isn't getting a go. Maybe with the responsibility he rises to the challenge.

Why he has not been tried ?
We signed him as a youth player from Man City his goalscoring way back then was phenomenal....
That my older brother saw a game in his loan club & stated he looked of the pace, but was a Jonny on the spot player as he scored ?
Maupay looks awful tbh as a upfront hold the ball striker....

lol

I'd rather have him in there than Mykolenko tbf.

Get Viangre on and punt Myko back to Kiev.

I think he might play Maupay to unsettle the rs centre halved at corners and free kicks in the hopes he can make space for the big lads to power through and score a header. Not ideal, but nor is playing Simms up top on his jacksie in such a big game. If he fluffed a few chances it could destroy the lads confidence. When he does get his start (as I am sure he must given our lack of alternatives) I would like to see him in a 442 with Maupay to take the pressure off him of having to play the lone striker role. With regards to Dyche being versatile enough to find a different way to play, his options are limited by the playing staff at his disposal, but I think he will do what he can to get us the points we need.
Defo.

Dyche has been here for around a week, I don't think you can say the kid's getting snubbed. He'll find a use for him if he thinks it'll work.
