The L.C.A.B. / THT Transfer Window Thread ....

I just a neg rep, im assuming it was this comment that was the cause...

Sorry, but I am genuinely worried... If I have been out of order in any of that comment, please show me where...

Nothing truly outrageous in the opinions you state mate and don't think you are out of order myself -a little pessimistic yes but nothing more as noone really knows what the future holds, but do remember we budget for 10th so finishing where we are now (approx 2m lower prizemoney from league placing) would not be main contributor of any potential firesale- the last 12 months financial figures if poor may contribute more to that, but I remain hopeful that young Jack and or Felli will not be sacrificed and we live to fight on with a strong spine to our squad with the obvious additions required.

Everton have agreed on a price (believed to be £2million rising to £3.5million depending on appearanes/ goals) for Tranmere's Dale Jennings.
Moyes won't have any other money to spend in this transfer window.
He has lined up 4 players for the summer transfer window (unknown who the players are, apparently one is from France and one from South America)

just something to hope for prob bullshine!!

Praying this is true but tbh that's mentally expensive for him. I hardly care though, I want this lad as a Blue.

What site is that?

Come on Tubey, ya dont honestly think they'll be any truth to it do you, i know you would love us to sign Jennings but were skint and even if we did have a bit of money to spend we would'nt be parting with that much cash for him regardless of what a promising talent he is!.

And im sure Moyes will have is targets, like he did last summer but he can forget about signing any of them who are worth a few bob cos we wont have any money again in the summer, unless people are shifted out and Moyesy gets the cash we fetch in which if this month is anything to go by, it looks unlikely, unless we sell a few assets and bring a sheit load of cash in, and then he might get a bit of dosh?.

No mate, Guillem Ballague has confirmed they have bid for all four over the last couple of days, all have been rejected.

Haha pfft, Ballague is about as reliable as a chocolate fire gaurd, yeah he as his moments when he knows one or two things but for atleast 2 or 3 years he's been adamant that Fabregas will be signing for Barca and its never meterialised.

Ive known him to say on la liga that weve been in contact to sign Fernandes and things in the past, well after his loan spells and its never been true from what i gather.

Ballague is as reliable as they come in the spanish game.

At £750k I was hoping we might sign Jennings, he looks a lot better than what we have coming through but 2m rising to 3, no chance, we just haven't got that kind of money, which is ridiculous for an aspiring top 6 club but there we go.

Tubey mate...leave this one.

NEVAH! ^^

Agree really - but you have to say, how much do we have? None of us really know... I really can't understand how we're so bad, and I know about the corporate problems at Goodison, wage bill etc. but even with that we should be able to spend £10m a season at the least...

You and me both mate, we used to. Wyness said a couple of years ago when we signed Fellaini that he expected us to continue to break our spending records. All of a sudden he leaves and we seem destitute without any real reason. The wage bill has risen with very generous contract renewals but didn't the Sky deal also go up? Not sure. It's really hard to get my head around as we aren't the most PR friendly club mate. Most of the board see the fans as enemies and that's part of the problem in my opinion.

There's only two conclusions I can come to - either we're servicing some really secret massive debt, or pockets are being lined.

Mate . This kid could come in . Its likely , but forget summer .

They havent even GONE there .

Trust me .

Night all .

Agreed. There's no way Everton have even considered the summer in terms of transfer activity.

22 hours for a Jennings miracle then :)

i'm at the point now where sticking with what we have got doesn't sound so bad, we are skint so better to go with what we have got then waste much needed cash on loans that wont offer anything better than we already have, in the summer we have yobo yakubu and vaughen cash plus maybe heitinger, that could fetch 15/20 mil. not a lot in todays market i know, but you have to play the cards your dealt, and thats where moyes is at his best, were 3/4 players away from a great team imo and i think that will put us close

Ladies and gentleman, Mr. Ian Ross!

;)

Doomed in what way ???....

To be honest, sometimes I can be a little ironic/sarcastic... sorry! sometimes I get caught up in the vibe on here....

I don't really think we're doomed, we've got a good team, I think we're playing well, the leagues tight, it is not inconceivable that we could still push on and get a europa league place.. but equally this could be the mid to low table finish we get every other year.

Deadline Day is underway! Guess we can finally be put out of our misery at 11pm, as barring a miracle, no players ready to challenge for 1st time are likely to arrive!
